We have a splits slate of games where the early slate starts at 1 pm, so there will be a few players from each slate. There are some fantastic pitching options on the slate, so you will need to find some value plays out there to fit these aces in your lineups.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 5/3/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers
Carlos Carrasco - P, CLE vs TEX (FD - $9,200)
Carrasco comes into this games off a rough start, but prior to that, he had been super consistent and should be set for a bounce-back spot tonight. He has 32 strikeouts in 38 innings this year, while only giving up seven walks. A solid ratio from him, which plays into him giving up only 13 earned runs this year. It should be noted that nine of those 13 earned runs came over the course of two starts, and otherwise, he has been very tough to hit. He is up against Texas who have a 25% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitchers, which is fourth worst in the league this season.
Reynaldo Lopez - P, CWS vs MIN (FD - $7,500)
Lopez is a bit of a cheaper option at pitcher, which will allow you to load up on some hitters. The matchup is pretty solid for him, as he is up against the Twins, who have scored the fourth fewest runs in the league this season. They aren't too much of a threat, combined with their 22.5% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitchers, it puts him in a good spot. He has 25 strikeouts in 30 innings this year, but 15 walks as well. Clearly a much riskier option on this slate, but the savings are nice, and the matchup is solid.

Paul Goldschmidt - 1B, ARI vs LOS (FD - $4,000)
Goldschmidt has great numbers against left-handed pitchers this season, .483 wOBA and a .371 ISO. He isn't up against a gas can type pitcher, so this isn't a pure gas can spot for him, but still has great splits. The power has been lacking for him recently but the Diamondbacks are still able to put up the runs without him, so I would use him as a one-off in a stack hoping the historic numbers he has will shine through.
Jed Lowrie 2B, OAK @ SEA (FD - $4,000)
Lowrie is one of the more consistent players in the league but often gets no credit since he isn't super flashy or play for a big market team. He has a .370 wBOA and a .178 ISO this season vs left-handed pitchers and comes into this game with one home in his last two games. Should be solid for all formats tonight, as he is up against a reliever making a spot start.
Jose Ramirez - 3B, CLE vs TEX (FD - $4,600)
Ramirez had the day off yesterday, so he should be set to return for today's action. This season he has a .359 wOBA and a .179 ISO this season vs left-handed pitchers, putting Ramirez, and all the Cleveland righties in a great spot. This stack is expensive, but they are in a spot to really put up some runs against Garcia, who is giving up a .373 wOBA to righties this season.
Andrelton Simmons - SS, LAA vs BAL (FD - $3,000)
Simmons has a five-game hitting streak in the works right now and is up against one of the worst pitchers in the league, Chris Tillman. Simmons has a .346 wOBA and a .171 ISO vs right-handed pitchers and makes an interesting addition to an Angels stack. In this five games hitting streak, he has one double, one triple, two home runs, and seven RBIs.
FanDuel DFS Outfielders
Bryce Harper - OF, WAS vs PIT (FD - $5,100)
Harper has been moved up to the leadoff spot and he is raking over these past two games. He has two home runs and six RBIs in this two-game stretch, and when a hitter is like Harper is this hot, truly a tough call to try and fade him. Pretty simple, if you have the salary for Harper, you should be playing him. I could give you all the stats in the world to show you how he is dominating right now, but that wouldn't even do it justice.
Jorge Soler - OF, KAN vs DET (FD - $3,100)
Soler is simply too cheap for the production he has recently and makes a solid cash game play on this smaller slate. He has an eight-game hitting streak in the works, with five of those games being multi-hit games. That streak also includes five doubles and two home runs. The power is there, the consistency is there, and the matchup is there tonight against Mike Fiers.
