FanDuel MLB DFS Lineup Picks (6/23/19): Daily Fantasy Baseball Advice

We've got an exciting afternoon of baseball ahead of us on this Sunday. Today's main slate starts at 1:05pm eastern and covers nine games, while the all day slate covers all 15 games and starts at the same time.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 6/23/2019. The picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

We also provide DFS lineup picks for DraftKings and other sports. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me on Twitter @TroyKlauder

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Kenta Maeda, LAD vs. COL ($7,900)

Maeda is a discount play to target on the late slate, as he's pretty cheap for the year he's had. A 3.87 ERA with 77 strikeouts in 76 2/3 innings is valuable in today's environment, and Maeda gets an extremely easy matchup against the Rockies. Colorado is awful on the road, with just a .284 wOBA and a 27.1% K-rate - those marks are second-worst and third-worst in the majors, respectively. Maeda gets to face them at home in a pitcher-friendly park and is a strong bet for a win against Antonio Senzatela, who has a 5.09 ERA and should be exposed by the overpowered Dodgers lineup.

Joey Lucchesi, SDP at PIT ($8,500)

If you're not looking to pay up for deGrom on the main slate, Lucchesi is a mid-range option that you should feel comfortable with. He's got just a 2.90 ERA over the last month and has notched a quality start in five of his last six outings. Lucchesi faces a Pirates lineup that has a poor .284 wOBA versus left-handed pitching, which is third-lowest in all of baseball.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Rowdy Tellez: 1B, TOR at BOS ($2,800)

If you want to go cheap at first base, Tellez is a power upside bat to take a flier on. He has just eight hits over the last two weeks, but five of them have been home runs, so his boom-or-bust profile is ideal for GPP contests. Tellez is in an extreme hitter's park where he has a shot at going deep.

Rougned Odor: 2B, TEX vs CWS ($2,900)

Odor may not be a good "real life" hitter, but his power and speed combo makes him an attractive fantasy play. Odor has three homers and three steals in the last 15 days and could pop off again versus Ivan Nova, who has a brutal 6.01 ERA with a 1.64 HR/9.

Josh Donaldson: 3B, ATL at WAS ($3,000)

Take advantage of Donaldson's cheap price while you still can, as it hasn't caught up to his recent performance. Donaldson is among the hottest hitters in baseball right now, batting .309 with a 1.068 OPS in the last two weeks. Nats starter Austin Voth should get blown up by the Braves, so expect plenty of RBI opportunities for Donaldson out of the cleanup spot.

Tim Anderson: SS, CWS at TEX ($3,200)

A White Sox stack could be a sneaky route to success on Sunday as they face Adrian Sampson, owner of a 4.77 FIP, in one of the best hitter's environments in the league. Whether or not you're stacking, Anderson is a fantastic option at this price, as he's been one of the top shortstops in fantasy with 11 homers, 15 steals, and a .320 batting average.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Bryce Harper, PHI vs. MIA ($3,900)

Harper's DFS value is probably even higher out of the Phillies leadoff spot, as he will accumulate even more plate appearances, which gives him more chances to score points. Marlins starter Jordan Yamamoto is making just his third career start in the bigs, so Harper could take advantage. He homered yesterday and can put up big power numbers in a hitter-friendly park.

Avisail Garcia, TAM at OAK ($3,300)

Garcia has handled lefties very well throughout his career, with a 116 wRC+ against southpaws that is 20 points higher than against righties. A's starter Brett Anderson is left-handed, and he is also a major regression candidate, as he's got an insanely low 12.3% K-rate with a 4.49 FIP. Garcia should bat cleanup and is a low priced splits play.
