There are 15 games on the schedule today, but I will be focusing my research on the twelve-game main slate.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 6/5/2019. The picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

We also provide DFS lineup picks for DraftKings and other sports. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me on Twitter @Roto_Nate.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Charlie Morton: TB at DET ($10,400)

Morton is still undefeated on the season, boasting a 6-0 record with a 2.54 ERA. There is a high-strikeout upside here, as Morton comes into this game with an 11.09 K/9, while the Tigers have an abysmal 26.3% Strikeout rate against right-handed pitching. The Tigers are the worst team in the Majors with a .283 wOBA against right-handed pitching as well, so there shouldn't be too much contact made here against Morton.

Brad Peacock: HOU at SEA ($8,600)

Peacock is starting to find his form, and he faces an inconsistent Mariners team in this matchup who has averaged only 3.33 runs over their last six games. Peacock has allowed two runs or fewer in each of his last five starts. He is 5-0 over that span, going 3-0 with a 0.93 ERA, and has 35 strikeouts in 29 innings.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Tyler Austin: C-1B, SF at NYM ($2,500)

Jason Vargas has been a bright spot of the Mets rotation, allowing one earned run in five of his nine starts. However, he has struggled with control, collecting high walk totals and allowing home runs in five of those nine starts. These control issues have caused him to rack up his pitch counts and be pulled from games early, which is good when our players are getting at-bats against their struggling bullpen. Austin is a good candidate to add to Vargas' home run totals in this game, as he should be inserted high into the lineup with his .452 wOBA and .350 ISO against left-handed pitching.

Mike Moustakas: 2B, MIL vs MIA ($4,000)

Moustakas has three home runs over his last four games, and he faces a pitcher in Sandy Alcantara who has given up home runs in bunches against power-hitting teams. Alcantara has gotten back on track over his past couple of games, but after being walloped by the Marlins last night, the Brewers will be coming out firing, and Moustakas will be one of the main pieces.

Matt Carpenter: 3B, STL vs CIN ($3,200)

The Cardinals will be in prime position to put up some good numbers in this game, as they face Anthony DeSclafani. He has given up 18 earned runs over his last five starts, including nine home runs. Carpenter has been heating up after a rough start to the season, hitting six home runs since the start of May. We should see his numbers against right-handers start to deviate back to his norm as his wOBA currently sits .057 points below his career average. There's no better time to start than this matchup against DeSclafani.

Jorge Polanco: SS, MIN at CLE ($4,200)

Carlos Carrasco hasn't been looking like himself over his last three outings, and it won't get any easier tonight when he faces one of the best hitting teams in baseball. He has a 7.13 ERA over his past three starts, including six earned runs in his last outing against the White Sox. Polanco is having one of the best seasons of his career, recording a .432 wOBA and .283 ISO vs right-handed pitching.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Jeff McNeil: OF, NYM vs SF ($2,700)

McNeil hasn't shown the same potential as he did in his debut last summer, but a leadoff hitter at this price against Tyler Beede is too good to pass up. Beede boasts a 7.82 ERA so far this season and has struggled against left-handed hitters allowing a .490 wOBA. Despite some low counting numbers, McNeil has recorded a .380 wOBA vs right-handed pitching this season so I would expect the counting numbers to increase soon.

Mike Trout: OF, LAA vs OAK ($4,800)

Warning to pitchers: Mike Trout is heating up. Over his last six games, he has averaged approximately 19 Fanduel points. He also has 20+ points in five of his last nine games. Trout has a good history against opposing pitcher Daniel Mengden, going 5 for 6 with a home run. Mengden has struggled against the Angels as a whole, recording a 7.54 ERA over five career appearances.
