FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Caleb Smith: P, MIA vs NYM ($8,000)

Smith put together an excellent first half to the season, with a 3.50 ERA that's mostly supported by his 3.64 SIERA and 3.73 Deserved Run Average. His 31.1% K-rate is a phenomenal mark, which is thanks to his awesome slider and strong command of his fastball. Smith should fare well against the Mets at home, in one of the best pitcher's environments in the league. Smith deserves to be at a higher price with the way he's pitched this year, so take advantage while you can.

Yu Darvish: P, CHC vs PIT ($6,700)

Darvish's season has gone about as bad as anybody could have imagined. Although, with 30 strikeouts to just five walks over his last four starts, there's some reason for optimism. Darvish is a very risky play, but his 26.5% K-rate on the year shows that he's still got a high ceiling with his ability to rack up strikeouts. If you're looking to go cheap at starting pitcher, Darvish is worth a look in GPP contests.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Brandon Belt: 1B, SFG at MIL ($3,400)

Belt's home ballpark suppresses much of his offensive output, and his .866 OPS on the road this year shows that he's a viable play any time he's away from home. Belt's got a career low 19.7% K-rate with a career high 16.1% walk-rate and will be in an exceptional hitter's park on Friday in Milwaukee. He is in a valuable spot batting leadoff, where he will maximize the number of chances he gets to score you points.

Jose Altuve: 2B, HOU at TEX ($3,600)

Altuve's season has been hampered by knee and hamstring injuries, as well as a career low .263 BABIP. He is a good buy low candidate at this price, as Altuve can easily return to being a productive fantasy player in a potent Astros lineup. The stolen base upside may not be there, but Altuve can be relied on for batting average and runs.

Justin Turner: 3B, LAD at BOS ($2,800)

Turner and the Dodgers will be in a hitter-friendly park in Boston in this World Series rematch, where they can do some damage against Eduardo Rodriguez and his 4.65 ERA. Turner is a great play in cash games, as his spot batting third for LA can result in lots of runs and RBI. Turner's .375 OBP with just a 15.9% K-rate gives him a high floor that's worth targeting.

Didi Gregorius: SS, NYY vs TOR ($3,300)

Gregorius is a power flier to consider in GPP contests as he's at home against Jays starter Aaron Sanchez. Sanchez has an abysmal 6.16 ERA with a 1.37 HR/9. This is an ideal matchup for Didi, who has mashed at least 25 homers in each of the last two seasons. His price is quite low because of his cold start, so this is a good time to buy in.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Yasiel Puig: OF, CIN at COL ($3,700)

Puig has been bonkers over the last 30 days, batting .385 with a 1.244 OPS, including nine homers and four steals. He's been a fantasy catalyst and now gets a series in Coors Field, the league's top offensive environment. Puig legitimately has the chance to be the top hitter on the slate in this park, regardless of price. His upside can not be understated.

Austin Meadows: OF, TAM at BAL ($3,500)

Contrary to Puig, it's been an abysmal month for Meadows. However, his overall numbers on the year still include a 140 wRC+ against right-handed pitching, and a matchup against the Orioles pitching staff is one of the best ways to turn around a slump. Meadows will lead off against Dylan Bundy, owner of a 5.20 FIP, in hitter-friendly Camden Yards
