FanDuel MLB DFS Lineup Picks (8/25/18): Daily Fantasy Baseball Advice

We have a nine-game main slate to go over today, with plenty of pitching options to consider. There are three true aces on the mound and with them, all being so close in terms of price and skill can be a bit of a toss-up in both cash games and tournaments.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 8/23/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

You can also read more DFS lineup picks for DraftKings and other sports too. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Corey Kluber - P, CLE @ KAN (FD - $11,200)

Kluber has given up three or fewer runs in four of his last five starts and is now up against one of the weaker teams in the league, the Royals, who have a team wOBA sitting at .298 vs right-handed pitchers. Kluber has posted 27 strikeouts in his last four games, a trend which should continue since the Royals have a 22.3% strikeout rate vs RHP since the start of July. This is a positive park shift for Kluber, which should make him one of the better cash game options on the slate.

Anibal Sanchez - P, ATL @ MIA (FD - $8,600)

Sanchez is up against the Marlins, who have a team wOBA of .294 vs right-handed pitchers this season, which is third worst in the league. Sanchez is a bit of a cheap option today and comes in with a fantastic matchup. This is a massive positive park shift in his favor, which should make him an interesting option at his price point. He has six or more strikeouts in three of his last four games and makes a solid tournament play.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Max Muncy - 1B, LOS vs SDP (FD - $4,100)

Muncy has two home runs in his last five games, not including last night, so a bit of power from him right now. He comes in with .395 wOBA and a MASSIVE .332 ISO vs right-handed pitchers this season, which should put him in an ideal spot to continue with the power streak.

Travis Shaw - 2B, MIL vs PIT (FD - $4,200)

Shaw should be another home run candidate due to his hot streak and his matchup. He has home runs in three of his last five games and has a .293 ISO vs right-handed pitchers this season. The Brewers are at home, which is a very good pitchers park, making him an ideal stacking option. Shaw is up against Jameson Taillon, who is giving up a .330 wOBA to lefties this season.

Matt Chapman - 3B, OAK @ MIN (FD - $4,200)

Chapman and the Athletics are super hot right now and have a positive park shift in their favor since they are away from home and in Minnesota. He has a .348 wOB and a .185 ISO vs left-handed pitchers this season and comes in with the platoon advantage tonight. Love the Athletics as a team stack tonight.

Dansby Swanson - SS, ATL @ MIA (FD - $2,500)

Swanson is a bit of a cheaper option today, which will help you get up to some of the top pitching options on the slate. He is up against Wei-Yin Chen, who is giving up a .352 wOBA to righties, along with 1.52 HR/9. Negative park shift for the Braves, but they always have stacking potential.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Brett Gardner - OF, NYY @ BAL (FD - $3,500)

Gardner and the Yankees are up against Andrew Cashner, who is giving up a .360 wOBA to lefties and 1.73 HR/9, which is simply horrendous. The Yankees are struggling a bit on offense right now, but they always make a good stacking option and with Gardner generally leading off, he makes a solid addition to that stack.

Max Kepler - OF, MIN vs OAK (FD - $3,200)

Kepler is up against Mike Fiers, who is giving up 1.71 HR/9 to lefties this season, which stems from his 43.8% fly ball rate. This lines up nicely with Kepler's .206 ISO vs right-handed pitchers this season. Great price on Kepler today and a solid hitter's park.
