Welcome to Tuesday baseball! While football season is upon us, the baseball season grind continues. FanDuel hasn't let up, either, with plenty of big dollar tournaments to help boos your bankroll as the season winds down. We also call this free money Tuesday in DFS, as all the NFL money pour s into accounts and some people want to play some more. They'll look up an MLB optimizer and hope for the best. Let's get into some of the top plays at each position.
We also have a game in Coors Field, and I could fill up this entire article with guys from the Cardinals and Rockies. If you want to play any of them, they are in play. It's as simple as that.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers
Walker Buehler - LAD @ BAL - $11,600
You certainly wish this game was in Dodger Stadium, for a multitude of reasons. However, this match-up may be good enough to outweigh the ballpark. The Orioles don’t have a crazy strikeout rate at just under 24%, but I think Buehler can do wonders on that front by himself. They rank 25th against righties in wOBA and wRC+, and they’ve also been worse in the second half. On the other side of things, Walker Buehler still strikes out 10+ batters per nine on the road and has rarely seen such a quality match-up. The Orioles are still projected for under three runs and there’s always a real chance for a CGSO when a guy with this caliber of upside is facing such a putrid lineup. If you’re playing cash games, I don’t see getting away from Buehler.
Chase Anderson - MIL @ MIA - $6,300
I know Anderson has been pretty bad, but look at those match-ups he’s had to deal with. This Marlins team is the worst team he’s faced all season long and all we’re asking for is a serviceable start. Something Chase Anderson has done many times against far superior lineups. The Marlins still rank dead last in baseball against righties with a team .282 wOBA and 25% strikeout rate. We’ve been doing it all season and I doubt the Marlins get any better in 2020. Any game-changing talent they have is at least a couple of seasons from the majors. Chase Anderson has held both sides of the plate to a sub .320 wOBA and strikes out a decent amount at eight per nine. Anderson is too cheap on FanDuel and a great way to go if you want to pay up for bats.
FanDuel DFS Infielders
Yasmani Grandal - MIL @ MIA (Anderson) - $3,300
It’s rare that we target a catcher in this spot, but Yasmani Grandal is no average catcher. He’s a switch-hitting power bat that has sported a .362 combined wOBA on his way to 26 home runs and 22 doubles. He sees plenty to hit with this Brewers lineup surrounding him and Elieser Hernandez is one of the worst pitchers they’ve faced all season long. While a small sample size, Hernandez has allowed a .404 wOBA and 11 home runs in just 32 innings of work vs lefties. He strikes out just over seven batters per nine and walks nearly five. It doesn’t get much worse than this. The Brewers are one of the top stacks of the night and the lefties are my favorite. Grandal offers great value at C/1B.
Ozzie Albies - ATL @ PHI (Vargas) - $3,300
Ozzie Albies makes this lineup so much more dangerous with his switch-hitting abilities vs lefties. On the season, Albies is sporting a crazy .445 wOBA against lefties and every time I write an article it seems to go up. He’s locked into that two-hole against southpaws and it’s a perfect spot to be in this order. Sandwiched between Acuna and Freeman with lefty-masher Josh Donaldson to follow. You can stack this team, but you can also just play a one-off or two. Jason Vargas isn’t the worst pitcher in baseball, but he certainly has blow-up tendencies and they come against strong righties. The Braves should do a number here to a guy that’s living off of luck.
Eugenio Suarez - CIN @ SEA (Sheffield) - $4,100
Eugenio Suarez may not be as good as Ozzie Albies and his .455 wOBA against lefties, but he’s up there. On the season, he’s hit 10 homers vs lefties in just 60 games worth of at-bats to back up his .411 wOBA. He’s up to 44 home runs on the season and it’s why I’m not so worried about the move into this spacious ballpark. If Suarez gets a hold of the ball against Justus Sheffield, it won’t matter what ballpark they’re in. Sheffield is a big prospect, but he’s been terrible this year and has allowed a 5.67 xFIP to opposing righty bats. I don’t like stacking the Reds in this park, but I do like Suarez alone.
Xander Bogaerts - BOS @ TOR (Zeuch) - $3,900
This Red Sox team has to be mentioned against this staring pitcher. We all had our eyes on T.J. Zeuch against the Braves last time our, and he performed as expected, giving up two runs on two walks and three hits through four innings. He now faces off with a Red Sox team that’s even more patient and hits righties to the tune of a 113 wRC+. Bogaerts has actually been way better against righties this season, posting a .402 wOBA and hitting 22 of his 31 homers vs them. He’ll be in the middle of the order here and is my favorite Boston bat to play in cash games out tournaments.
FanDuel DFS Outfielders
Yordan Alvarez - HOU vs. OAK (Roark) - $4,200
There’s a lot to like in the outfield. Christian Yelich is one of the best plays on the slate and you play him if you can afford him. Elieser Hernandez stinks and the Brewers are going to do damage. With that said, I haven’t touched on the Astros yet after they put up 15 and 21 runs the last two nights. The entire lineup is seeing the ball well and Yordan Alvarez has been phenomenal. They now face off with Tanner Roark, who’s allowed a .349 wOBA to opposing lefties and he’s worse on the road. Alvarez won’t be as highly owned as a couple of these guys up top and I think he has more double home runs upside than anyone.
Eddie Rosario - MIN vs. WAS (Sanchez) - $3,700
The Twins are another team we haven’t touched on yet, but Vegas has them scoring close to six runs. Anibal Sanchez showed his true colors last start, allowing seven earned runs through five innings against the Mets. He’s allowed a .346 wOBA since the ASB against opposing righties while still getting lucky. The Twins are as powerful as any lineup out there and we should have no issue seeing at least two or three dingers here. Rosario has always been better against righties and he’s been over a .415 wOBA hitter for the past two seasons. He gets pitched to hit with so much power around him and seems to come to the plate with RISP at least a few times a game. He’s not expensive enough on FanDuel and makes for a great play in all formats.
