We have a smaller seven-game slate, where there is one clear top pitching option that you want to pay up for. This leaves plenty of space in tournaments if you choose to pay down since you will have extra salary available.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 9/20/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.
You can also read more DFS lineup picks for DraftKings and other sports too. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom.

FanDuel DFS Pitcher
Max Scherzer - P, WAS vs NYM (FD - $12,000)
Scherzer is the best pitcher on the slate and you want him in any lineup you can fit him in. He is up against the Mets, who come in with 21.7% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitcher this season. Scherzer has 10 or more strikeouts in three of his last four starts but has given up three earned runs or more in four straight games. Despite those struggles, really like him in all formats tonight.
Kevin Gausman - P, ATL vs PHI (FD - $8,000)
Gausman is up against the Phillies tonight, who come in with a 24.9% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitchers this season, which is third worst in the league. Gausman has also had his struggles as of late, with seven earned runs in last seven games. Gausman isn't a big strikeout pitcher, but the Phillies are struggling right now and I like him for a solid point per dollar play tonight.
FanDuel DFS Infielders
Kurt Suzuki - C, ATL vs PHI (FD - $2,600)
Suzuki has a .331 wOBA and a .168 ISO vs right-handed pitchers, which is solid enough for a player at his price point. He makes a solid addition to a Braves stack, who come in with an implied total set at 4.7. He is up against Vince Velazquez, who is giving up a 41% fly ball rate to righties.
Jose Ramirez - 2B, CLE vs CWS (FD - $4,800)
Ramirez is always a candidate for a jack and a bag, better known as a home run and a stolen base. That gives him plenty of tournament upside since he can really rack up the points quickly. He comes in with a .420 wOBA and a .328 ISO vs RHP.
Joey Wendle - 3B, TAM @ TOR (FD - $3,000)
Wendle has two multi-hit games in a row and four doubles in his last three games. Really showing some nice DFS value right now as the Rays are going for that last wild-card spot. He is up against Sam Gaviglio, who is giving up a .365 wOBA to lefties.
Trea Turner - SS, WAS vs NYM (FD - $3,900)
Turner has a seven-game hitting streak in the works right now with a few doubles, a few RBIs, runs scored and stolen bases. He can really fill up the stat sheet and now with him going up against Jason Vargas, he should be able to continue that, since Vargas is giving up a .383 wOBA to righties.
FanDuel DFS Outfielders
Andrew McCutchen - OF, NYY vs BOS (FD - $3,600)
McCutchen has two home runs in his last five games and comes in with a .200 ISO vs left-handed pitchers. The Yankees are finally putting up runs and with McCutchen hitting out of the lead off spot, he has good offensive equity on that team.
Daniel Palka - OF, CWS @ CLE (FD - $2,900)
Palka has a .348 wOBA and a .282 ISO vs right-handed pitchers, which should make him a home run candidate tonight. He had a homer last night, which makes three games in a row, so with this hot streak, you can't fade him. He is up against Josh Tomlin, who is giving up .484 wOBA to lefties this year.
