FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (1/3/20): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Welcome to NBA Friday night. We have six games on the board tonight, but a ton of different options to pay up for. There is value to pay down for, but we have to get it perfect in tournaments if we wan to take down some serious cash.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 1/3/20. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks.

Give me a follow on Twitter @DFSVarney and say hello. Good luck RotoBallers, let's dive right in!

FanDuel DFS Guards

Ben Simmons - PG, PHI @ HOU ($8,500)

I don’t think Ben Simmons will get the love he deserves tonight in a fast-paced matc-up with the Philadelphia 76ers. His price is friendly on FanDuel and I feel comfortable expecting 45+ fantasy points in this style of game. Simmons has the ball in his hands every play and the Sixers are going to see an extra few possessions with the Rockets ranking top-five in pace. I prefer Simmons over the other high-end point guards, who will likely be higher-owned.

Marcus Smart - SG, BOS vs. ATL ($5,100)

Kemba Walker is considered questionable for this game, but it sure seems more likely that he will sit. If he does, a lot of folks will gravitate towards Brad Wanamaker and rightfully so. He immediately becomes a great value. However, it would also lock Marcus Smart into big minutes and a ball-dominant role. He has a ton of upside and the Hawks are a team that will allow him to do whatever he wants offensively. I love the spot if Kemba is ruled out.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Anthony Davis - PF, LAL vs. NO ($10,400)

This is less about the narrative at this point and more about Anthony Davis facing a terrible defensive team that likes to play fast and has no rim protection. I expect LeBron to allow Davis to smash the Pelicans this season as he put up 65 fantasy points last game and is in a very similar spot here. If I’m paying up for one guy tonight, it’s Anthony Davis.

Brandon Ingram - SF, NO @ LAL ($8,600)

Ingram may not be very popular on this slate, but I like him matching up with the Lakers. Small forward is pitiful on this slate and Ingram has the upside to put up 50 at a reasonable price tag. The Lakers are a strong defensive team overall, but Brandon Ingram isn’t a player that can be slowed when hot. He’ll match-up with LeBron, but the two played together last season and you know Ingram is still wanting to prove him value.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Enes Kanter - C, BOS vs. ATL ($5,200)

Kanter has been over 40 fantasy points in two of the last three games, and the Celtics may be without Kemba Walker tonight. The match-up with the Hawks is phenomenal and the C position isn’t great overall. Kanter is in play either way, but I’ll be locking him in if no Kemba as the Celtics will need that extra scoring punch and you know the Celtics are going to let Kanter eat after he’s been so hot.
