FanDuel DFS Guards
Luka Doncic - PG, DAL @ DEN ($10,400)
Doncic has been marvelous to start the season and it’s nothing short of what he showed us his rookie season. He’s been over 50 fantasy points in all three games and has progressively gotten better and better. The match-up with Denver isn’t necessarily juicy, but Doncic has shown it doesn’t really matter what match-up he’s in. Gary Harris and Jamal Murray are still not good enough defenders to make a difference and Doncic is going to have another 50+ fantasy points. If you can afford him, Doncic is a great play in all formats.
Jiimy Butler - SG, MIA vs. ATL ($9,000)
Jimmy Butler will play his first game of the season tonight against a Hawks team that should struggle to slow him down. They play fast and don’t have much in terms of wing defense. Butler is going have the ball in his hands a ton and will likely hold close to a 30% usage rate. Shooting guard isn’t very strong and Butler is head and shoulders above the field. Erik Spoelstra already said he won’t be eased in, so 35 minutes is fair to expect. You can safely deploy Butler in all formats.
Kendrick Nunn - PG, MIA vs. ATL ($6,000)
While Jimmy Butler is back, Kendrick Nunn has played exceptionally in his absence and he deserves to have a role no matter what. His price is still affordable and I’m expecting at least 25 minutes. This game has the highest total of the three and it’s not a bad idea to get your value from here. Nunn isn’t a great play, but we only have three games and he’s been productive. I think Dragic takes a bigger hit than Nunn.
FanDuel DFS Forwards
Bam Adebayo - PF, MIA vs. ATL ($7,800)
Price considered, Bam Adebayo is my favorite power forward and I’m not sure it’s all that close. Even in games where it feels like he’s struggling, he pulls out 40 fantasy points. We’re going to see 50+ very soon and it could come against the Hawks tonight. John Collins is a great youngster, but he certainly struggles on the defensive end. Adebayo is a lock for s double
Jae Crowder - SF, MEM @ LAL ($5,600)
Small forward is UGLY. To say the least. There is an expensive LeBron, but it’s the ugliest position of the year to this point. Jae Crowder has been doing it all for the Grizzlies, and got up to 30 fantasy points last game while scoring just six real-life points. He’s actually my favorite point per dollar play at this position and I think he goes for another 25+ fantasy points. Small forward stinks.
FanDuel DFS Centers
Nikola Jokic - C, DEN vs. DAL ($10,700)
If it wasn’t for Jokic here, center would be an absolute wasteland of a position. He played solid minutes last night, but you know the Nuggets had the back-to-back in mind. I would expect 30-32 tonight, which will be plenty against the Mavericks. They don’t have anybody that matters at center and Porzingis isn’t big enough for Jokic. It’s going to be a fun match-up and I expect the Joker to walk away with 50+ fantasy points.
