FanDuel DFS Guards
Jimmy Butler - SG, MIA @ CHI ($9,700)
Jimmy Butler always has a little bit extra to give the Bulls. They’re his former squad and things didn’t end how Butler wanted them to. He’s now in a great position with the Heat where he’s the head of the team around a bunch of youngsters and vets that are willing to take a backseat, but can also rev it up if Butler is in distribution mode. Chicago is a great match-up for do-it-all guards like Butler, as they play fast and don’t have much rim protection. I look for Butler to put up another 45+ fantasy points as he typically does.
Terry Rozier - PG, CHA @ WAS ($7,100)
It’s about time Scary Terry has a big game and the match-up couldn’t be better. We’re going to be picking on the Wizards with point guards all season long. They play extremely fast and both Isaiah Thomas and Ish Smith are two of the worst defenders in basketball. Rozier is a mismatch for both of them and I expect 30 fantasy points here with the upside for 50. The price is too low and I’m going to have my fair share of exposure.
FanDuel DFS Forwards
Paul George - SF, LAC vs. HOU ($8,600)
Am I missing something here? This price on Paul George on FanDuel is criminal. He’s been over 40 fantasy points in three of four games since returning from injury and got his minutes limit lifted, resulting in 37 minutes on Wednesday night. The Clippers now draw another premier match-up with the Rockets, and George is a lock for another 40 fantasy points. I’d much rather play PG13 than Leonard, who’s more expensive and willing to let George do the bulk of scoring.
Blake Griffin - PF, DET vs. ATL ($7,700)
Power forward isn’t the greatest position tonight. There are still some solid places to go, but it’s not nearly as deep as every other position on this slate. Blake Griffin is still cheap and this is the first time I’ve liked him since returning from injury. He’s gotten to 29 minutes in each of the last two games and I’d assume he reaches 30 tonight. The Hawks play fast and don’t have anybody to stick Griffin. The price is amazing and we could be looking at his first breakout game of the season. At a weak PF, I’ll give it a go and live with 30 if he flops.
FanDuel DFS Centers
Dwight Powell - C, DAL vs. CLE ($4,700)
Powell isn’t the most predictable center option on any night, but his recent play is going to turn people away and we don’t care about what he did the last two games. He’s going to play 25 minutes tonight and put up 20+ fantasy points against a weak Cavs interior. The upside for 30 is there and I wouldn’t be surprised if Powell gets extended run in this match-up. Damian Jones is another cheap option that is worth considering in cash games. If you want to pay up, I love Gobert.
