FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (12/30/18): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

The league features six games to help soften the blow of the NFL regular season coming to an end. Plenty of solid options to keep an eye on with not a lot of significant injuries to report. Look to gain an edge off of the Kings/Lakers shootout as that game is projected to be the highest-scoring game of the day in addition to featuring an outlandish pace of close to 109 possessions, which is far more than any other game on the slate.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 12/30/18.You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Lonzo Ball - PG, vs. SAC ($6,500)

While I am a big advocate of Russell Westbrook and De'Aaron Fox, the price for Lonzo Ball is too enticing to pass up. Over the past two games, Ball is averaging 44.4 fantasy points per game. With no Rondo or LeBron, he will continue to have the ball in his hands, see plenty of minutes, and get his chances to put up some shots.

Tyus Jones - PG, @ MIA ($4,500)

With both Jeff Teague and Derrick Rose not expected to play, Jones will draw the start, making him the Tomas Satoransky of the day. Jones logged 25 minutes against the Hawks on Friday night, and though he only scored eight points, he managed to come away with four steals. He likely won't hit that number again, but he should see a noticeable bump on the offensive end.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Kyle Kuzma - PF, vs. SAC ($7,200)

With all things considered, Kuzma is relatively underpriced for Sunday's repeat matchup with the Kings. In the following two games since LeBron James went down with a groin injury on Christmas night, the 23-year-old is averaging 41 minutes per game and has taken a combined 45 shots during that same span. Look for him to continue to be the main focus offensively until James finds his way back into the lineup sometime hopefully over the next week or so.

Robert Covington - SF, @ MIA ($6,500)

Covington has found his groove since arriving in Minnesota and is statistically playing the best basketball of his five-year career. With potentially no Derrick Rose or Jeff Teague, look for Covington to be more involved against the Heat on Sunday.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Willie Cauley-Stein - C, @ LAL ($7,300)

Cauley-Stein has seen a slight price decrease over the past few games but that is ok as we will use that to our advantage. He put up 38.1 fantasy points against the Lakers on Thursday and if JaVale McGee sits out again with an illness, look for Cauley-Stein to put a hurtin' on Los Angeles.
