FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (2/5/19): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Eight games in the NBA on Tuesday, headlined by a Raptors/Sixers contest that should feature a ton of scoring and a lot of other matchups that probably won't. It's definitely not the most enticing slate of games in the world, but let's talk about some players who might be worth targeting.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 2/5/19. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel.

You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks. As always, don't set your lineups too early. Be sure to check all the NBA starting lineups and player statuses and availability prior to opening tip.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Kemba Walker - PG,  vs. LAC ($9,300)

The Clippers allow the eighth-most FanDuel points to opposing point guards, so if you want to avoid paying the big bucks for Russell Westbrook, Walker's a little cheaper and has a matchup that I really like. Walker had a couple of tough games to end January, but he enters Tuesday with three consecutive games of at least 20 points, and he's shot over 40 percent from the floor in each of those games. The Clippers did hold Walker in check the first time the teams met, but the high volume of shots that Walker takes gives him a solid floor.

Lou Williams - SG, @ CHA ($7,700)

Sticking in Charlotte, Lou Williams gets to face a Hornets defense that the fourth-most FanDuel points to two-guards and that let him go off for 27 points and 10 assists in the first meeting. It's hard to imagine the Hornets really developing an answer for Williams other than hope he misses, and two games of 30 or more points over his last six suggest that Williams isn't really in the mood for missing.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Josh Richardson - SF, @ POR ($6,100)

Richardson has really taken a step forward this year for the Heat, but over the last eight games he's scoring 15 points and adding three assists while shooting under 30 percent. Those numbers aren't in-line with the improved Richardson we were watching for a while, but he put together a steady 11-point, five-rebound, five-assist performance the first time he played the Trail Blazers, and Portland is allowing the sixth-most FanDuel points to opposing small forwards.

Blake Griffin - PF, @ NYK ($9,600)

The most expensive power forward in Tuesday's slate, Griffin is worth the cost because he gets a juicy matchup with the Knicks, who are in full #kNiCkS mode right now. Griffin is averaging just shy of 30 points per game since 2019 started, along with 7.2 rebounds and 5.8 assists. I'm not even worried about the back-to-back, since Griffin played just 23 minutes on Monday. The Pistons got a bunch of weird bench production, which is rarely the case and shouldn't dissuade you from going with Blake.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Myles Turner - C, vs. LAL ($7,300)

Oops, I accidentally skipped that entire Raptors/Sixers game.

Anyway, Turner feels like a good value play against a Lakers team that's had its weak moments up front. Turner is also cheaper than guys like DeAndre Jordan (who is making his Knicks debut and could do anything, including play 10 minutes) and Al Horford. Turner is inconsistent on the boards and looked bad against the Lakers back in November, but he's shown some scoring upside lately and makes sense as a cost-saving play if you want to grab some guys in the Westbrook/Griffin tier.
