FanDuel DFS Guards
Ish Smith (vs WAS, $6,300)
It is about time to give Ish Smith another chance in tournaments. He has not been playing all that well of recent, posting 25 plus fantasy points in only two of his last four games, but he still has great upside. In his last 10 games, he has over 40 fantasy points twice, and he gets a great matchup tonight against John Wall and the Washington Wizards. He should be able to score rather easily, and if the Sixers push the pace, he should have one of his better game. He is definitely not a 50/50 play, but use him in tournaments if you are feeling lucky.
JJ Redick (at SAC, $4,900)
JJ Redick has been very solid of recent, and tonight, he gets a fantastic matchup against the Sacramento Kings, who happen to be the worst in the league against opposing shooting guards. In his last two games, he has over 25 fantasy points against the Denver Nuggets and the Phoenix Suns. The Kings are going to push the pace of the game, just like the Nuggets and Suns do, and Redick should continue to shoot well. He is great from behind the arc, and I'm willing to bet he hits value tonight. Use him in both 50/50 contests and tournaments.
Brandon Jennings (at NYK, $3,800)
Brandon Jennings did not play well in his last game against the Philadelphia 76ers. He only played 11 minutes because he committed a dumb foul before the end of the first half, which got him benched for the remainder of the game. That is in the past now. I'm sure the Orlando Magic forgave him, and we can all move on. He should be able to play well tonight against the New York Knicks, and as long as he sees around 25 minutes, which he should, he will crush value. Use him in both 50/50 contests and tournaments.
FanDuel DFS Forwards
Paul Millsap (vs CHI, $7,800)
Paul Millsap is much more of a tournament play right now than a 50/50 option. In his last game, which was against the Golden State Warriors, he posted 21.9 fantasy points in 33 minutes of action. The game prior, he dominated the Milwaukee Bucks for 52.2 fantasy points in 46 minutes of action. He has over 50 fantasy points in two of his last five games, which goes to show his upside. The Chicago Bulls are really struggling right now, and Millsap could definitely take advantage of that situation. Regardless, avoid him in 50/50 contests.
Matt Barnes (at LAL, $5,000)
Matt Barnes looked great in his last game, which was against the Los Angeles Lakers. An easy matchup is exactly what he needed to break out of the slump he was in. Tonight, he plays the Lakers again, so he definitely makes for a great option. He played 37 minutes and posted almost 40 fantasy points in his last game, and similar numbers could happen tonight. His price tag has come down, so feel free to use him in both 50/50 contests and tournaments.
Bobby Portis (at ATL, $4,100)
Prior to his last game, which was against the Washington Wizards, Portis posted over 20 fantasy points in four straight games. It was really looking like he was a solid 50/50 option, but then he posted under 10 fantasy points in 20 minutes against the Wizards. Tonight, he gets a great matchup against the uptempo Atlanta Hawks' squad. He should go back to score 20 plus fantasy points per game, but based on his last game, he seems a bit risky. Avoid him in 50/50 contests.
FanDuel DFS Centers
DeMarcus Cousins (vs LAC, $10,700)
DeMarcus Cousins definitely did not hit value in his last game, which was against the San Antonio Spurs. He only scored 22 points, as LeMarcus Aldridge really shut him down. In his two prior games, he posted 55.8 and 68 fantasy points, so to say that he has upside would be an understatement. The Los Angeles Clippers are horrendous against opposing centers, so Cousins could definitely explode. Use him in both 50/50 contests and tournaments tonight.
