FanDuel NFL DFS Lineup Picks (Divisional Round)

This is the last week that has a somewhat respectable slate for the NFL, so make sure you get your fix in!

In this edition I will be headlining a few of my top DFS plays on FanDuel for the Divisional Round of the playoffs for the daily fantasy football season.

These DFS lineup picks can range from the elite tier of players to a few guys that I feel are a bit overpriced on FanDuel. Let's get to it!

FanDuel DFS Quarterbacks for Divisional Round

Cam Newton (vs SEA, $8,700)

The fact that Cam Newton isn’t the most expensive quarterback on the slate is a bit surprising. He has been outstanding this season, throwing for 3,837 yards and 35 touchdowns, while adding 636 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground. He’s averaging the most fantasy points of any quarterback on the slate, but he does get a tough matchup. He played fairly well against the Seahawks earlier this season, and he can be used in all leagues.

Aaron Rodgers (at ARI, $8,300)

Rodgers let loose a bit more against the Redskins, and he looked good for as long as the Packers needed him, aside from the first quarter. He gets a matchup against the Cardinals, who recently dominated Green Bay. The good news is that Green Bay is getting healthier as the weeks go by, and they finally have a functional line. The Cardinals won’t be able to hit Rodgers every play before he drops back, which gives him decent upside. I likely won’t be using him in cash games, but he’s a great GPP option.

FanDuel DFS Running Backs for Wildcard Round

David Johnson (vs GB, $8,500)

Johnson is the best running back on the slate, as he comes with both consistency and upside. He gets a good matchup against Green Bay, who have been an average defense against the run this season. Johnson dominated Green Bay for 127 yards and a touchdown on only 12 touches earlier this season. He wasn’t need after the Cardinals got out to an early lead, but that likely won’t be the case this week. Johnson can be used in all leagues.

Steven Jackson (vs KC, $5,700)

It’s tough to trust someone like Steven Jackson, but his price is entirely too low for someone who is getting as many touches as he is. He’s coming off a game, in which he recorded 55 yards and one touchdown on 15 touches. He’s the lead back for the Patriots, and his price is extremely low this week. He’s going to be the lead back for New England, and he can be used in all leagues to allow you to get other elite options.

FanDuel DFS Wide Receivers for Wildcard Round

John Brown (vs GB, $6,700)

Brown had his breakout season this year, as he recorded 65 catches for 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns this season. He hasn’t recorded more than four receptions in any of the last four weeks, but he does have a touchdown in three of those games. He wasn’t need against Green Bay, which could explain his lack of production, but he looked great while on the field in that game. He’s an electric receiver, and he can be used in all leagues, as this game could quickly become a shoot out.

James Jones (at ARI, $6,500)

Jones seems to play well when Green Bay needs it, and they really need it this week. Last week, he found success while recording seven catches for 81 yards, although he didn’t get in the end zone. He caught five passes for 46 yards against the Cardinals earlier this season before he was benched because it was a blowout. His price isn’t very high this week, and Jones is safe enough for all leagues this week.

FanDuel DFS Tight Ends for Wildcard Round

Greg Olsen (vs SEA, $6,500)

If there is one position the Seattle defense struggles against, it’s the tight end, which is also one of the Panthers strengths in their offense. Olsen enjoyed a great season, recording 77 receptions for 1,104 yards and seven touchdowns. He dominated Seattle earlier in the season with seven receptions, 131 yards, and one touchdown. He should be able to find success again tonight, and Olsen can be used in all leagues this week.
