Injuries continue to pile up as the season progresses, and we'll be getting looks at rookies like David Johnson this week. We've already seen a few guys step up and dominate with injuries, and hopefully this is another week of that.
In this article, my FanDuel DFS lineup targets, I will be headlining a few of my top plays on FanDuel for Week 13 of the daily fantasy football season.
These DFS lineup picks can range from the elite tier of players to a few guys that I feel are a bit overpriced on FanDuel. Let's get to it!
FanDuel DFS Quarterbacks for Week 13
Tom Brady (vs PHI, $9,400)
Brady is the most expensive quarterback on the slate, and for good reason. The Eagles have given up 10 total touchdowns over the last 2 weeks to the Bucs and Lions. Brady is arguably playing the best football of any quarterback in the season this week, and he should have no problem carving up the Eagles defense. There have been multiple injuries to the New England playmakers, but Brady essentially just needs bodies on the field. He can be used in all leagues.
Austin Davis (vs CIN, $5,400)
Davis will start for the injured Josh McCown this week, and it would be silly to not mention him at this price tag. He looked great in relief last game, as he threw for 77 yards and 1 touchdown on 10 attempts. He gets a decent matchup against the Bengals, who have had an average pass defenses this season. Davis likely won’t score through the roof, but he’s extremely cheap and doesn’t need many fantasy points to hit value.
FanDuel DFS Running Backs for Week 13
DeAngelo Williams (vs IND, $7,200)
After a disappointing game against the Browns two weeks ago, Williams bounced back against a tough Seahawks defense. He has played extremely well this season when starting, and he’ll get another plus matchup this week against the Colts. The Steelers love featuring the running back, as they will find Williams touches on the ground and through the air. He also has great touchdown potential because of how often the Steelers score each week. Williams’ price isn’t out of control right now, and he can be used in all leagues.
David Johnson (at STL, $5,900)
CJ2K has been ruled out for a few weeks and Andre Ellington has been dealing with nagging injuries recently. That leaves the door open for the ultra-talented David Johnson. He has played exceptionally well in limited snaps this season, and he will now be the featured back. This matchup is less than ideal, as the Rams have been a great defense all season, but Johnson will see heavy snaps and he has tremendous upside. He’s a great tournament option in a tough matchup this week.
FanDuel DFS Wide Receivers for Week 13
Alshon Jeffery (vs SF, $7,700)
Jeffery has played exceptionally well when he has been healthy this season, which hasn’t been often. He played on Thursday night in his last game, which means he had a few extra days of rest this week. He should be a full go this week against the San Francisco 49ers, who has struggled on defense this season. Jeffery is a huge part of the Bears offense, and the consistently find ways to get him the ball. He has great touchdown upside, as well, and Jeffery can be used in all leagues.
Danny Amendola (vs PHI, $6,700)
Unfortunately, Amendola missed last week due to injury, but he will likely play tonight, as the Patriots will be without Lewis, Edelman, and now Gronkowski. Amendola should soak up the targets this week, as he had 19 receptions in two games before he was injured. As mentioned earlier, the Eagles have had one of the worst secondaries in the NFL over the last few weeks, and if Amendola is active, he can be used in all leagues.
FanDuel DFS Tight Ends for Week 13
Travis Kelce (at OAK, $6,200)
Kelce has been fairly disappointing this season after his break game in the first week. He has flashed a bit of upside at times this season, and this will be his best matchup of the year. The Raiders have failed to contain any above average tight end this season, and Kelce should be able to feast this week. He has at least four receptions in six straight games, which makes him somewhat safe, but he is best suited for GPPs.
Scott Chandler (vs PHI, $5,300)
It looks like Gronk will most likely be out this week, which means Chandler will step into the starting role. He’s coming off a 5 reception, 58 yard, and 1 touchdown game against the Broncos, and he has great upside as the number one tight end this week. The Eagles have been torched by the Bucs and Lions recently, and the Patriots should score plenty of points this week to stack their offense.
