Daily League Fantasy Baseball Lineup Card: April 9th, 2013

RotoCole’s Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Advice: April 9th Edition

We are back after taking the weekend off with the first of week 2′s Daily Fantasy Lineup Cards.  In the preseason, we brought you Daily League Strategy Part 1 and Part 2. Now, all season long, I will be giving you my advice on who to start in your daily fantasy lineups. Initially, this advice will cater to those who play on Fanduel.  They offer some of the best gaming options for beginners, intermediate, and expert level players. Our job here at RotoBaller is to make your daily fantasy gaming experience a fun and successful one. Whether you are new to the daily fantasy scene or have been playing for years, our columns will be up-to-date and useful for all levels of experience. If you are indeed new to the scene, tweet me at @RotoCole and I will personally show you the ropes. Let’s win together. Ladies (one or two reading this) and gentlemen, here is your late game Daily Fantasy Baseball lineup advice for the late games on April 9th, 2013:

Brandon MaurerTaco Tuesday Play of the Day: P Brandon Maurer ($3,100) - He should be started in every FanDuel lineup because he is cheap and gets to face the offensively challenged Houston Astros. There is a new strategy when it comes to picking a starting pitcher in daily fantasy. It's simple:  start whoever pitches against Houston. Selecting Maurer will allow you to spend big on your lineup.

Twin Killers: Both Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau have hit Jeremy Guthrie well in their careers (combined 10-for-24) and at their affordable price they can be started with confidence.

Asian Sensations: I'm starting Ichiro Suzuki and Shin-Soo Choo because they have great success against their counterparts. Combine that with their hot starts and you have a solid pair of outfielders.

Not Going HAMilton: Avoid Josh Hamilton even though he is now under 4k ($3,900). He is 0-8 with 6 K in his career against Jarrod Parker.

Tulobenchme: Lincecum owns Tulo; keep him and his 10-44 against Timmy on the bench.

It's Ray-ning Runs: Hallelujah, what in the world are the Rangers doing starting a mediocre Double-A pitcher in Nick Tepesch? Start any Rays with confidence.
