RotoBaller Fantasy Baseball Rankings for July 2014
Clayton Kershaw, Andrew McCutchen, J.D. Martinez and Billy Hamilton stole the fantasy baseball headlines during the month of June. Kershaw put up one of the best pitching months in recent history, while J.D. Martinez came out of nowhere to revive many lucky fantasy owners hopes if they picked him up. After a cold start to the year, Billy Hamilton has been one of the best 5x5 roto players, and has made this owner look like a smart man for drafting him in the 5th round of his NFBC league.
Todd Frazier blew up posting 8 HR and 8 SB, while Jose Altuve stole a ridiculous 17 bases in this 30 day span. Aramis Ramirez saw a big resurgence, posting 6 HR, 2 SB with .348 BA, showing that when healthy he's a borderline top 5 3B. Garret Richards just got filthier, racking up 35 Ks in 34 IP with 4 W, a 1.05 ERA and .9 WHIP. If it weren't for Jake Arrieta's out of nowhere masterpiece of a month, Richards would've been the most unexpected riser in June. Ian Kinsler continues to produce as if it were 2010 in Texas, while Scooter Gennett has joined Kinsler has a top 10 2B. Khris Davis, Kole Calhoun, Salvador Perez, and Jesse Hahn all took big steps forward establishing themselves as reliable regulars.
With three months in the books in the MLB season, it’s time for our July fantasy baseball rankings update here at RotoBaller!
As a reminder, players are ranked based on how I feel they will perform over the remainder of the season, from this point going forward, in 5×5 rotisserie scoring.
