Fantasy Basketball - Dynasty Rundown for Week 12

Welcome to RotoBaller's weekly dynasty league rundown! Dynasty leagues are becoming more and more popular, and we're here to keep you ahead of the game.

Each week, we'll touch on topics and players that may not necessarily be relevant in single-year formats, but they can make a splash in keeper leagues.

With that being said, let's look at the dynasty rundown for Week 12.

Editor's Note: Our incredible team of writers received five total writing awards and 13 award nominations by the Fantasy Sports Writers Association, tops in the industry! Congrats to all the award winners and nominees including NBA Writer of the Year, Best NFL Series, MLB Series, PGA Writer and Player Notes writer of the year. Guards

Dante Exum, Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cavs just lost shooting guard Kevin Porter Jr. (knee) for maybe a month, and Exum stepped up with 28 points Sunday. Exum won't contribute much except for points and threes, but he should have some leeway in the team's rotation. Pick him up in deeper formats for a short-term option or someone to flip when his value is at its peak.

Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk, Detroit Pistons

The second-year former Kansas Jayhawk has scored in double figures in four straight games. He's also shooting a lofty 43.2 percent from three-point land, which is higher than his 40.8 percentage overall from the floor. The Pistons have a slew of injuries, and their season is quickly going in the tank. The 22-year-old should remain an option to see what they have in him. Scoop Mykhailiuk if possible.

Shabazz Napier, Minnesota Timberwolves

The 28-year-old really took off the last four games averaging 21.8 points, 6.3 assists, 3.5 boards and 1.3 steals per game. He was filling in for minor injuries to guard Jeff Teague and forward Andrew Wiggins, but they're both back. Napier remained in the rotation. He should be owned everywhere as a possible sell-high chip when the team eventually features rookie Jarrett Culver.

Forwards

Sekou Doumbouya, Detroit Pistons

The 15th pick in the 2019 draft has seen his most extensive action the last three games and posted 12.3 points and 8.7 boards per game. He's being asked to play at the four a lot with Blake Griffin (knee) out, and his points and boards could stick. He just turned 19 last month and is still very raw, but he has shown a spark to build on.

Omari Spellman, Golden State Warriors

Spellman had a productive spurt earlier in the season and relegated back to the pack. The last three games, he has averaged 15.3 points, 5.3 boards and two steals per game. He's a little short at 6-foot-8 to play the four, but he's a big body. His rebounds will be inconsistent due to his athleticism limitations. However, the Warriors are a MASH unit and have little to play for. He has some short-term viability in deeper leagues.

Centers

Anzejs Pasecniks, Washington Wizards

The 7-foot-1 Latvian has done some good board work the last five games. He has averaged just six points per game, but he has hauled in 8.2 rebounds per game in just 21 minutes a night. He is very small at 220 points, and he has no long-range game. So, he's pretty limited offensively. However, he has proven to have a knack on the boards and could prove to be a sneaky piece for long-term outlooks.
