Fantasy Basketball - Dynasty Rundown for Week 7

Welcome to RotoBaller's weekly dynasty league rundown! Dynasty leagues are becoming more and more popular, and we're here to keep you ahead of the game.

Each week, we'll touch on topics and players that may not necessarily be relevant in single-year formats, but they can make a splash in keeper leagues.

With that being said, let's look at the dynasty rundown for Week 7.

Editor's Note: Our incredible team of writers received five total writing awards and 13 award nominations by the Fantasy Sports Writers Association, tops in the industry! Congrats to all the award winners and nominees including NBA Writer of the Year, Best NFL Series, MLB Series, PGA Writer and Player Notes writer of the year. Be sure to follow their analysis, rankings and advice all year long, and win big with RotoBaller! Read More!

Guards

De'Anthony Melton, Memphis Grizzlies

The second-round pick in 2018 posted 16 points, nine boards and four dimes against the Indiana Pacers Monday, and he has outperformed Tyus Jones. With point guard JA Morant (back) out indefinitely, Melton has a chance to steal some playing time. Pick him up in deeper leagues and see if he can take the reins from Jones.

Tomas Satoransky, Chicago Bulls

The 28-year-old Satoransky doesn't exactly fit the mold of a keeper, but in he's starting to develop in his fourth year in the league. His 9.6 points and 5.2 assists are career highs, and he has been consistently solid of late. Satoransky averaged 13.2 points, 6.6 dimes, four boards and 1.4 steals per game over his last five games. First-round pick Coby White is behind Satoransky, and he has had some bright spots off the bench. It's only a matter of time before he's given the keys. So pick up Satoransky and see if his good play continues. Maybe you can sell high around the All-Star break when the Bulls might be looking to see what White can do in the starting lineup.

Forwards

Carmelo Anthony, Portland Trail Blazers

The 35-year-old Anthony has resuscitated from the fantasy grave to average 17.7 points, six boards and 2.2 assists in his first six games with the Blazers while shooting 46.2 percent from the floor and 37 percent from distance. He hasn't shot that well since the 2013-14 season. By now, he's owned in most leagues. If you were quick to the wire to grab him, start shopping him. The worst-case scenario is that he's still this productive 17-point, five-board player and you sold a little prematurely. However, the odds are that this can't continue at its current rate.

Mikal Bridges, Phoenix Suns

The second-year Bridges saw 30 minutes Monday and delivered 12 points, eight boards, two assists and two steals. It has been hard for him to find consistent playing time, but there are a slew of injuries to the front line that have shifted the forwards up. Bridges has been a bit of a bust early on in his career, and he's shooting just 22.6 percent from three this season. He could be hovering around waiver wires because of his slow start to his career. See if you can snatch him up and see if his development continues.

PJ Washington, Charlotte Hornets

The 13th pick in the 2019 draft has had peaks and valleys. He scored at least 23 points in two of his first five career games and didn't touch 20 again until dropping 26 Friday night. He hit a wall last month only scoring in double figures in eight of 16 games. Washington is a bit of a tweener at 6-foot-7, and his rebounding numbers are going to suffer. He's shooting 43.9 percent from deep and 50.5 percent overall, which really help in seven-category leagues. He might be a buy-low option with that underlying value not represented by 11.8 points and five boards per game.

Centers

Christian Wood, Detroit Pistons

The third-year man busted out with a career-high 28 points and 10 boards in a 132-98 blowout over the San Antonio Spurs Sunday. He did the damage in 22 minutes and hadn't seen that much time in almost three weeks. Wood has shown flashes in spurts this season covering injuries, and the team expressed the desire to see him be more consistent. They wouldn't say that if they didn't have plans for him. He should be owned everywhere outside of single-year formats.
