9-Category Leagues Waiver Wire

Columns are written based on H2H 9-category standard size leagues:

Marcus Morris Sr., PF/C - Los Angeles Clippers

48% rostered - So, Marcus Morris is shooting the [redacted string of expletives] out of the basketball right now.

The veteran big is shooting 50.5 percent from three on the season. A few days ago when he was at 50 percent, I remember thinking "hmm, wonder if he can keep this up," and now the number is even higher. Morris has really become an elite shooter, and an increase in minutes lately hasn't seen that shooting slip. Over the last four games, he's averaging 20.3 points per night with an absurd shooting split of 52.7/63.6/81.8. A three-point field goal percentage that's over 10 points higher than his overall field goal percentage??? WHAT.

Saddiq Bey, SG/SF - Detroit Pistons

44% rostered - If you didn't listen to my advice on Bey last week, there's still time in a lot of leagues, though the number of openings for him is shrinking by the day. Bey has started the past three games for Detroit, averaging 34.1 minutes per game, with averages of 14.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.3 steals. He's shooting 40.9 percent from three over that span on 7.3 attempts per game. His volume is something that can be hard to come by off the waiver wire at this point in the season, and with Blake Griffin permanently out of the rotation, I don't see Bey losing shot attempts.

Luguentz Dort, SG/SF - Oklahoma City Thunder

33% rostered - While his efficiency isn't where you might want it to be, Dort is playing 30-plus minutes per game and has scored in double figures in six consecutive games. He's usually good for multiple threes per game, and while things like rebounds and assists can be a bit of a gap in Dort's stat lines, he has enough things going for him to make him worth a roster spot in deeper leagues.

Willy Hernangomez, C - New Orleans Pelicans

20% rostered - Hernangomez has come of nowhere to become a valuable piece in New Orleans. It probably won't last forever, as a Steven Adams ankle injury has been part of why he's gone from out of the rotation to posting double-digit rebounds in the past two games. But as long as Hernangomez is in this elevated role because of the Adams injury, he has a lot of appeal for fantasy managers who need rebounds, because he can get you a bunch of them while also scoring in the low-double digits.

Cedi Osman, SF/PF - Cleveland Cavaliers

17% rostered - With Andre Drummond done in Cleveland, there's some more front-court minutes available. Osman has now played 25-plus minutes in three consecutive games, with 11 or more points in each of them. He's coming off of a really good game against Denver, with 11 points, six rebounds, seven assists, one steak, and three three-pointers. He's made nine threes over the past three games. He could definitely lose some playing time when Taurean Prince (ankle) returns, but the rebuilding Cavs might want to see more of what Osman can give them? (Although Prince is only 26! Isn't that shocking???)

Patrick Beverley, PG - Los Angeles Clippers

15% rostered - I'm not too excited by Beverley, but he has the potential to score double-digit points every night with multiple threes and a high field goal percentage. His solid floor makes him worth a roster spot over some of the low-end guys that you've probably been streaming lately.

Robert Williams, C - Boston Celtics

14% rostered - Having Daniel Theis and Tristan Thompson ahead of him will limit his upside, but Williams is proving that even in 20 minutes or less per game, he can block a bunch of shots, shoot over 75 percent, and give you between eight-to-12 points. That's decent enough, especially in deeper leagues when you're super, super in need of blocks. Just be aware that his playing time isn't a guarantee.

Nemanja Bjelica, PF - Sacramento Kings

14% rostered - Alright, so take this one with a grain of salt, because Bjelica played just 12 minutes on Saturday. But he had a 25-point game earlier in the week, which was primarily fueled by an uptick in minutes with Richaun Holmes sidelined. Holmes was out again on Saturday, but Bjelica didn't get a ton of minutes, though he scored nine points in that brief time. I don't know. I think if Holmes continues to miss time, Bjelica is a streaming play in deeper leagues and comes with more upside than most people on the wire, even if he doesn't have a very strong floor.

Cory Joseph, PG - Sacramento Kings

10% rostered - Before Saturday's two-point outing, Joseph has four games in a row with double-digit points. And it's not like Saturday's game didn't offer him opportunities to do well, as he played 36 minutes and did grab seven rebounds. Like Bjelica, Joseph is a low-floor streaming play while the Kings are dealing with injuries, but I do think Joseph's floor is higher than Bjelica. If I had to stream one guy in Sacramento, it would be Joseph, who had a 22-point, five-assist game last Monday.
