9-Category Leagues Waiver Wire
Columns are written based on H2H 9-category standard size leagues:
Darius Bazley, SF/PF - Oklahoma City Thunder
43% rostered - Back from a month-long absence after a shoulder injury, Bazley has scored 17 or more points in three of his four games since coming back, including a 22-point, eight-rebound showing against the Warriors. His efficiency and a lack of reliable threes are both issues that can hurt you, but there's not many players left on the wire who can score as many points as Bazley. That's worth something.
Saddiq Bey, SF - Detroit Pistons
42% rostered - Bey's coming off his worst game in awhile, scoring just four points against the Wizards. But if we ignore that, we find a guy who can give you 15 points and five rebounds with multiple threes per game. There's a clear reason to roster Bey at this point, even if he'll occasionally have a really inefficient night.
Kendrick Nunn, PG/SG - Miami Heat
34% rostered - He's still inconsistent, but he's back in the rotation right now, so if you need some points, assists, and steals in the short term until Victor Oladipo (knee) is back, fine. I don't love this add, but if you've got daily waivers in your leagues and unlimited moves, Nunn can help you as long as you're ready to drop him at a moment's notice.
Reggie Jackson, PG/SG - Los Angeles Clippers
30% rostered - Jackson's numbers are all over the place. He might score 25 points. He might score six points. You just kind of have to live with that rollercoaster, but with Patrick Beverley sidelined for three or four weeks with a fractured hand, Jackson is going to see 35-plus minutes most nights. That many minutes means that his upside should outweigh the risks associated with him. Just be aware that if you want your point guard to give you a lot of assists, Jackson might not be your best play.
Grayson Allen, SG/SF - Memphis Grizzlies
25% rostered - Allen has hit the 20-point mark in two of the last three games. Over the last four games, he's totalled 20 three-pointers made. He's also capable of poking away a couple of steals each night. He's weirdly been bad from the free throw line lately, but that's not enough of an issue to scare me off of Allen. One of my favorite waiver targets this week.
Daniel Gafford, C - Washington Wizards
22% rostered - Gafford has been a big surprise since coming to Washington. His minutes aren't consistent enough, but when he gets 20-plus minutes of play like he did against New Orleans, he can give you big numbers. In that one, he had 18 points, seven rebounds, and four blocks. He'll help you out in efficiency, but the blocks are really the big thing for me: he was nine of them over the past three games.
Khem Birch, PF/C - Toronto Raptors
16% rostered - Since joining the Raptors, Birch has scored in double figures twice in four games. He's getting some nice run on this team and has at least five rebounds in each of his games, plus is providing some nice numbers in terms of blocks and steals. I don't think he's a slam dunk addition because this team has a crowded front court, but he can give you some solid numbers right now.
Facundo Campazzo, PG - Denver Nuggets
11% rostered - With Jamal Murray done for the year, Campazzo is getting 20-plus minutes per game for Denver. His value is really in three-pointers and steals, as the rest of his contributions don't really move the needle. But hey, in a deep league where you need a shooter, Campazzo should continue to get enough attempts to consistently give you multiple treys per game while also offering some decent assist numbers. There are worse things!
Naji Marshall, SF - New Orleans Pelicans
10% rostered - I'm in a group chat that loves Naji Marshall, so I've had to hear a lot about his recent performances. He's capable of giving you a double-double with a handful of assists thrown in. He gives you positive contributions in steals and threes. Efficiency can be an issue and a few games ago he played 21 minutes and didn't even take a shot attempt, so that could definitely be an issue. But if he continues to see this uptick in usage, he's a must-add in deep leagues.
