Welcome to the new Fantasy Hockey Sleepers and NHL Waiver Wire report. Each week I will be updating some of the players you should targeting on the waiver wire to help you build a championship fantasy hockey team. The recommendations will focus on, for the most part, standard Yahoo! Fantasy Hockey leagues with the following stat categories:

- Assists
- Powerplay Points
- Short Handed Points
- +/- Rating
- Shots on Goal
- Hits
- Faceoffs Won
- Goalie Wins
- Saves
- Save %
- Goals Against Average
- Shutouts
Only players who are under 50% owned in Yahoo Fantasy Hockey will be considered for the waiver wire report. If you have specific questions about how a player fits your league settings please hit me up on Twitter(@Jager_Bombs9)
Let us now take a look at this week's low owned waiver wire options..
Fantasy Hockey Sleepers and Waiver Wire Pickups at Forward
Tobias Rieder (ARI, RW) 10% Owned
He has been one of the driving forces behind the success of the Arizona Coyotes this season. They currently sit second in the Pacific right in the thick of the playoff race going into the second half. Rieder is coming off a two goal game against Nashville and now has 26 points on the season. The production has been streaky but he averages 15.9 shot attempts per 60 which has produced 113 shots on the year. He plays around 18:00 a game with 2:56 a game on the powerplay.
Sean Couturier (PHI, C) 13% Owned
He has been red hot lately scoring goals in three straight and four of his last five games for the Flyers. The recent success is due to the uptick in shots(17 shots in last five games). If you are looking to improve or stabilize your +/- rating he is also a great choice as he has been a +12 over his last 10 games.
Ryan Spooner (BOS, C/LW) 29% Owned
Since the 29th of December he has recorded seven points and has fired 20 shots on goal. He has been centering the second line between Loui Eriksson and Matt Belesky and has spent time with Patrice Bergeron on the top powerplay unit. The Bruins lines have been shuffled constantly due to injuries and suspensions and Spooner has seen his ice time peaking around 20:00 a game.
