FantasyDraft - DFS Quarterback Pick
Cam Newton - vs NO ($12,300)
We're only two weeks into the season, but the Saints are an obvious defense to be attacking. Through two games, they have allowed 1,025 total yards and 65 points. The Panthers have not had an elite offense, but Newton is a player that can score multiple ways. He seems to be focused more on passing this season, which is not a problem this week. The Panthers are -6 point favorites in a game set at 49 points, and he is an elite quarterback option on this slate.
FantasyDraft - DFS Running Back Picks
Jay Ajayi - at NYJ ($14,500)
Ajayi gets a matchup made in Heaven this week. Through two games, the Jets are allowing an average of 185 yards per game on the ground. They have also allowed four rushing touchdowns, which is the most in the NFL. Ajayi is the focal point of the Dolphins offense, as he had 30 touches in their only game this season. There are generally negative views towards Ajayi because of his injury history, but injuries generally do not affect DFS. The Dolphins are -6.5 point favorites in a game set at 41.5 points. The Dolphins will be running out the clock in the second half, and Ajayi is a great option this week.
Mike Gillislee - vs HOU ($10,700)
Gillislee is a touchdown dependent running back. He has struggled for he majority of this season, as he's averaging only 3.5 yards per carry in two games. He also has failed to record a reception this season. With that being said, Gillislee has four touchdowns in only two games. He's playing in a dominant offense that tends to find it's way to the red zone multiple times per game. The Patriots are ridiculous -13 favorites in a game set at 43.5 points, which means they will be running out the clock for quite a bit of time in this game. Those carries will go to Gillislee, and he's a high upside option because of his touchdown potential.
FantasyDraft - DFS Wide Receiver Picks
Adam Thielen - vs TB ($10,700)
Thielen has been the tale of two players through two games this season. He looked elite with Sam Bradford at quarterback, recording a 9/157 line on 10 targets. He struggled last week with Bradford injured, though, as he only posted a 5/44 line on six targets. Bradford is tentatively expected to play this weekend, which would boost Thielen's value. If Bradford is starting, Thielen makes a great option in all leagues. Thielen still makes a great option in tournaments if Bradford is out because he gets a great matchup against the Bucs this weekend.
Jermaine Kearse - vs MIA ($9,100)
Kearse has quickly taken over the number one receiver job for the Jets, as he is leading the team in targets through the firs two games. In those games, he has posted an 11/123/2 line on 14 targets. He gets a solid matchup against the Dolphins this week, and the Jets are sizable underdogs, meaning they will be throwing the ball early and often. Kearse has great touchdown potential because of his size, and he's a high upside option for his low price tag.
FantasyDraft - DFS Tight End Pick
Jack Doyle - vs CLE ($7,000)
Doyle struggled the first week, as he recorded only two catches for 41 yards on three targets from Scott Tolzien. The Colts opted to switch to Jacoby Brissett at quarterback last week, and Doyle saw an increase in production. Last week, Doyle managed eight receptions for 79 yards on eight targets. The downfall of Doyle is that the Colts have not been scoring, which has limited his upside. He gets a good matchup against the Browns this week, and Doyle is a great option in all leagues on this slate.
FantasyDraft - DFS Defense Pick
Philadelphia Eagles D/ST - vs NYG ($5,900)
The Eagles have failed to keep their opponents out of the end zone early this season, but the majority of those points came from a dominant Chiefs offense. This week, they get a great matchup against the Giants, who are averaging only only 6.5 points per game this season. The Giants have struggled with offensive line issues this season, and the Eagles are currently third in the NFL in sacks. The Eagles are -3.5 point favorites in a game set at only 43.5 total points, and they are a great defense option this week.
