This week NASCAR heads to "The World's Fastest Half Mile", Bristol Motor Speedway for the Food City 500 this Sunday afternoon. Bristol is a .533 mile Oval Short Tack with 24°-30° banking in the corners making for tight door to door racing with minimal room for error for the drivers. The 500 laps run here will test a drivers endurance and patience while giving the fans three to four hours of exciting racing on track from start to finish.
For fantasy this week it will be very important to get the two or three drivers who dominate the laps lead category. In the past the majority of the laps lead have been dominated by drivers starting inside the Top 5 starting positions. This makes qualifying extremely important this week.

Daily Fantasy NASCAR: DraftKings DFS Lineup Picks
Kyle Busch - $10,700
He comes in to Bristol having won two straight Sprint Cup races and four straight races across all three NASCAR series. It is safe to say he is red hot right now and beaming with confidence. He has been known as one of the best drivers at Bristol through his career as he has picked up five career wins here at the Thunder Valley. The entire Joe Gibbs team is starting inside the Top 5 this week and all make great picks in any format.
Carl Edwards - $9,900
He won the pole for Sunday's race and will have a great opportunity to lead a large amount of laps. Carl comes into the Food City 500 with some momentum with six Top 10 and three Top 5 finishes in the first seven races. He has been extremely consistent and is due for his first win in 2016. In the last five years(10 races) here at Bristol, Carl has picked up a win, two Top 5's, and five Top 10 finishes.
Martin Truex Jr. - $8,900
Another member of the Toyota family who has a great shot at getting his first Bristol win this weekend. The #78 team qualified 8th after posting the second fastest time in the first practice. After four straight finishes outside the Top 10 he finished 6th last weekend at Texas and will look to carry that momentum over to this weekend.
Ryan Newman - $7,300
It has been a disappointing start to the 2016 season for the #31 team and Ryan Newman as they have only been able to grab one Top 10 finish in seven races. That could very well change this week at Bristol as Newman is a very good short track racer and has a decent track history at Thunder Valley. In the past five years here he has one Top 5, five Top 10's and a 13.8 average finish. He will start 17th for the race and will have decent place differential upside if he can score that Top 10 finish.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. - $6,400
The value play of the week even before he qualified 32nd for the race on Sunday. He has raced here six times in his career and picked up two Top 5's, three Top 10's and has a 11.2 average finish. He just gets Bristol. He had a poor qualifying run on Friday and will start near the back leaving a ton of place differential upside this week. He is more than capable of moving through the field here as three times in his six races here he has started outside the Top 20 and finished inside the Top 6.
