BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 26% of leagues
ANALYSIS: San Diego Padres outfielder Franmil Reyes has a current six-game hitting streak, seeing his batting average rise to .315 since the beginning of the second half. Reyes also has nine home runs in the second half, hitting four in a five game period at the end of August and early September, posting a .602 slugging percentage. Normally hitting fifth or sixth for the Padres, Reyes has 32 R+BI in the second half.
Known for his power, Reyes only has a 13.4% soft hit ball rate in the second half, posting a 39% hard hit ball rate and 20.7% line drive rate. A 46.3% ground ball rate is not great for Reyes, but his hard hit ball rate has kept his BABIP at .342. A .368 OBP is also nice, as his 7.7% walk rate is decent, and his strikeout rate is down to 22.2% in the second half (30.2% for the season).
Reyes is known for his power and, if he is providing average, that makes him an addition in all leagues. He should help with power immediately and is a good addition in championship week.
