Kelly will be facing the Cubs today who are posting a 29.8% K rate against right-handed pitching over the previous two weeks, which ranks dead last in baseball over that span. Kelly has done well when facing teams in the higher echelon of K rates and has gone over this total in four starts this season.
MLB Hitter Prop Bets - Today's Betting Picks
Randy Arozarena OVER 1.5 total bases (+100 DraftKings Sportsbook)
Arozarena has been hot lately as he has collected 11 hits over his previous seven games and has six hits over the first two games in this series against Baltimore. While I do think Watkins gets over his 2.5 strikeout prop, he may run into some trouble against right-handed hitters in this one. He has allowed five bombs and an 8.07 FIP to righties on the season, so we will continue to attack him from that side of the plate.
Jeremy Pena OVER 1.5 total bases (+135 DraftKings Sportsbook)
Pena will be facing left-hander Taylor Hearn today and that could mean great things for Pena. On the season, Pena has posted a .869 OPS against lefties in 2022. He also has been scorching hot as he has hits in 13 of his previous 14 games. Hearn has struggled against right-handed bats this season as he has allowed a 5.26 FIP and an absurd 2.16 WHIP.
