MLB Pitcher Prop Bets - Today's Betting Picks
Luis Castillo OVER 5.5 strikeouts (-130 DraftKings Sportsbook)
Castillo has pitched much better this season than in 2021 and has now gone over 5.5 strikeouts in three of his previous four starts. He has a tremendous matchup against Arizona as they are posting a K rate of 25.8% vs. right-handers over the previous two weeks, which ranks fifth-worst in the league. They are also posting an abysmal 66 wRC+ mark over that same span. Just last night, Tyler Mahle (and we were on him) mowed down 12 Diamondbacks over nine innings of work.
Shane McClanahan OVER 6.5 strikeouts (-140 DraftKings Sportsbook)
Shane Mac is becoming one of my favorite pitchers in 2022 and has now struck out 998 batters over 72 23/3 innings pitched. He has gone over 6.5 strikeouts in all but one start this season and should have a solid matchup against the Yankees in this one. The Yankees are posting a 23.2% K rate vs. left-handers over the previous two weeks, which ranks seventh-worst in baseball over that span. They are, however, also posting a 147 wRC+ mark, which makes this a tad scary but Shane's skills should be able to keep him in this one long enough to hit the prop.
Tyler Anderson OVER 4.5 strikeouts (-165 DraftKings Sportsbook)
Tyler Anderson has gone over 4.5 strikeouts in six of his previous seven starts and is averaging five strikeouts per game on the season. He will be facing the Angels tonight who are posting a K rate north of 30% vs. lefties over the previous two weeks, which is ranked dead last in baseball over that span. They are also struggling to score a noted by their 70 wRC+ mark over the same span. Anderson has also gone at least six innings pitched in five of his previous six starts, which should help put him over the top.

MLB Hitter Prop Bets - Today's Betting Picks

Buxton will be facing Marco Gonzales who has allowed a whopping nine home runs and 5.72 FIP to right-handed hitters in 2022. Meanwhile, Buxton has posted a .949 OPS with six home runs and two doubles across just 50 at-bats against left-handed pitching this season. He is also on an absolute tear as he has gone deep six times in his previous six games while collecting eight hits in those games. This is also why his home run prop, which is set at +270, is also worth a flier today.
