Gander RV 400: DFS NASCAR Lineup Sleepers And Drivers To Avoid

Kevin Harvick finally crossed the finish line in P1 this past Sunday in New Hampshire. There were smiling faces, beautiful paint schemes getting tore up and children kissing lobsters (only in New Hampshire). This marked the first victory for Stewart Haas Racing this season, and it was honestly about time. Although the race wasn't very entertaining for most, the finish made everything about the race great.

Denny Hamlin was the fantasy king last Sunday totaling 118 FPTS on DraftKings. Kyle Busch followed him with 94 FPTS and the race winner (Harvick) in third with 85.75 FPTS. Although two of the driver picks from last week's race preview had great finishes, (Harvick and Hamlin) the other two had rough luck by race end.

As we head back to "The Tricky Triangle" one last time before we see back to back races at this track next year, it will be a little easier to tell who will be huge for your lineups this upcoming Sunday and who will blow them up into a million pieces.

What We Learned At New Hampshire

  • Kevin Harvick allowed everyone to breathe finally with his win.
  • Alex Bowman is a must start at the rear of the field.
  • Matt DiBenedetto can run with the big dogs.
  • Ryan Newman has become a value fantasy favorite.

DFS Lineup Sleepers - Gander RV 400

Daniel Suarez

Stewart Haas Racing finally has a win under their belt and this obviously has other teammates of Kevin Harvick hungry for action. Daniel Suarez is a sneaky play this week based on his recent running at Pocono. In 2018, Suarez finished this race in second and finished inside the Top 10 back in June. Keep an eye out for this guy on Sunday because we all know he's hungry for his first NASCAR victory.

William Byron

In 2018, William Byron had one of his most impressive finishes at this track for fantasy purposes. After starting the race in P38, Byron finished the race in sixth place. With the relationship strengthening between Chad Knaus and Byron, this could be the best race yet for the youngest driver in the cup series.

Daniel Hemric

Hemric put up solid fantasy production in June at this track (45.75 FPTS). The second man at Richard Childress Racing has definitely had his ups and downs throughout his first season as a Cup series driver, but what rookie doesn't? For the amount of money you'll spend on Hemric this weekend, he will totally be worth the play and could help you cash in big with other high salary drivers.

DFS Lineup Avoids - Gander RV 400

Ricky Stenhouse Jr.

Over the past year, Ricky Senhouse Jr. has had crappy luck at this track. Since 2018, Stenhouse Jr. has finished this race with negative placement, and his worst came a month ago finishing in P32 after starting in P18. Even though he had an accident in June at this track, he hasn't had a great fantasy race this season since his P5 finish in Charlotte.

Ty Dillon

Dillon isn't the type of driver you're excited to play week to week, but when creating lineups you have to throw in some lower-tier drivers to make the paper roll in. I can guarantee that this is not the week you want to start Dillon in any of your lineups. Dillon's best career finish at this track was in P17, and since then he hasn't been able to crack the Top 20.

Corey Lajoie

Remember the car with the giant face on the hood at the Daytona 500? That's this guy. Corey Lajoie is another driver you play when you're trying to squeeze in as many big names as you can (which is what you'll want to do this week). Lajoie finished the June race at Pocono with a total of 5 FPTS, and -13 FPTS at last year's Gander RV 400. Reach for a different bottom tier guy this week.
