BALLER MOVE: Add in Two-QB Leagues
OWNED IN: 2% of leagues
ANALYSIS: The Jacksonville Jaguars suffered a major loss in Week 1 as Nick Foles broke his collarbone. He started off hot, as he completed five of eight passes for 75 yards and a touchdown. Gardner Minshew came in and threw for 275 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception on 22 of 25 passes. In Week 2 as a first-time starter against Houston, he completed 23 of 33 passes for 213 yards and a touchdown. He also added 56 yards on six carries.
Moving forward, Minshew is someone who should definitely be targeted in Two-QB and Superflex leagues. You don’t have to start him, but he should absolutely be rostered in those formats. In standard leagues, he should stay on the waiver wire unless you’re in a very deep league and lost Ben Roethlisberger, Drew Brees, or another quarterback that’s found their way to the sideline in some way (don't tell me you were playing Eli Manning).
I expect this ownership percentage to increase even in Single-QB leagues. The schedule isn’t promising for Minshew as they play the Titans, Broncos, and Panthers in the next three weeks though. Stash him in your Two-QB or Superflex leagues, and keep an eye on him as a potential streaming option in single-quarterback formats.
