BALLER MOVE: Add in Deep Leagues
ANALYSIS: Garrett Richards is somebody I have picked up in two leagues already based on his spring training and his first two start's numbers. He had a very mediocre 2013 season, but it was in no way bad enough to discourage me from looking his way this season. Richards has an elite GB% and throws a incredibly hard fastball, which is a recipe for weak contact and Kupside. He is not a classic "strikeout" pitcher, but you should expect his K-rate to rise this year and on the Angels he has the ability to win 15+ games. His 2-0 record with a 9.75 K/9 is highly encouraging, while his 6 BB/9 is worrying and will have to come down in order for him to sustain success. Do not go out and grab him expecting him to produce like C.J. Wilson, but there will be matchups this season and some two start weeks where he is a smart start. Ride the wave while he is hot, but if he gets lit up a few starts in a row, it's ok to cut bait.
