ANALYSIS: Garrison Mathews career has been so wild that it's still hard to believe. Without getting too deep into the details, let's say G-Mat hold onto his last shot at an NBA stint this past October signing with his lone option--the lowly rebuilding Rockets--and after just a few months, oh boy did that decision look like a life-changing gift for this man.
Mathews debuted as late as Nov. 15 playing just 15 minutes. He already put on a nice 7-1-1 line. Since then, he's played 11 more games and even better he has started all last seven matches played by Houston through Friday. Seriously. The Rockets didn't lose a single game Mathews had started until Friday when they dropped one to the Nets. That's bonkers but not just a coincidence, believe me.
Getting back to Nov. 27 (first start) and in the seven games he's been on the starting five, Mathews has been able to average a silly 18-3 line to go with 1.3 SPG and 0.6 BPG. Not happy enough with that, he's hit at least 3 triples in all of those games he started while averaging a higher 4.3 3MP per game. That's insane. He's shooting 53.2% from the floor on almost 11 FGA a game even though his usage rate is as low as to sit at 15%. No turnovers at all in his daily stat lines, the mighty three-point-scoring prowess, and the overall shooting accuracy all make for a fantastic WW target out of Garrison Mathews.

Fantasy Basketball Deeper-League Waiver Wire Adds for Week 24: Isaac Okoro, Kris Dunn, Josh Richardson, Corey Kispert, Delon Wright
The deeper a fantasy basketball league, the harder it is to hit a winner with your last few picks. It is also harder to find decent help from the waiver wire if your late-round picks don't do you justice. If you picked up a few stinkers, don't lose hope just yet. I will try to […]
Onyeka Okongwu (SF/PF, ATL): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 16% of leagues ANALYSIS: The Hawks are currently the 10th seed in the East but are also tied for 8th and 9th with Brooklyn and Charlotte respectively. There's even a chance (albeit small) that Atlanta could rise as high as to reach the 7th seed if […]
Immanuel Quickley (PG, NYK): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 48% of leagues ANALYSIS: If we use common basketball sense, then the New York Knicks and Coach Thibs should try and see what the young guys such as Immanuel Quickley have in them and what they can provide the franchise with ROS, as the NYK are […]
Deni Avdija (SG/SF, WAS): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 37% of leagues ANALYSIS: One would reasonably think that a player seeing a playing-time boost such as that of Deni Avdija's this month would make said player drop his efficiency numbers. Well, not the case for the Wiz Wing by the looks of it. Avdija has […]
Nicolas Claxton (PF/C, BRK): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 24% of leagues ANALYSIS: The Nets can finally rest assured they'll make the play-in portion of the season. Not quite what you expected when the season got rolling back in October, but at least more than what the Lakers would have accomplished a week from now. […]
