BALLER MOVE: Add in 12-team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 51% of leagues
ANALYSIS: I haven't really thought about it this way, but the Gary Trent Jr. for Norman Powell trade from last season was probably the most hockey-trade in the recent history of NBA transactions. No team lost, not team won, and things stayed pretty much the same on both sides of the equation. It was just nice enough. Trent, as ridiculous as it sounds, is still to turn 23 years old and seemingly far from his peak. Even then, though, he's already producing to rather nice levels of play.
Basketball-Reference.com has Trent projected to a 17-3-2-1 per-36 minutes average line this season. The numbers might get down a bit when it comes to his true-line as he's not going to hit that MPG mark (he'll probably sit around 30-to-32 instead), but it will be close enough to the final thing. We have seen two versions of GTJr. this season already, an off-the-pine one in G1 and his starting-lineup counterpart in G2. The numbers were much better on Friday, but Gary contributed stats all across the board in both outings.
Trent put up a low 6-2-1-3 line in his season debut (the shooting limited his FP back then as he hit just 22.2% of his 9 FGA) but his help in demolishing Boston last Friday was all Toronto needed: 20 pops (including 2 treys to reach 3 on the baby season), 3 rebounds, 4 steals, and a dime. The shooting, although a little bit overboard (53.8%) was more reasonable considering Trent's track record and the 13 FGA were healthy enough considering his low 18.5% usage rate. FVV should run the point, but odds are Dragic doesn't complete the season in Toronto. It can only go (more) upward in terms of chances and a higher upside for Trent going forward.

Fantasy Basketball Deeper-League Waiver Wire Adds for Week 24: Isaac Okoro, Kris Dunn, Josh Richardson, Corey Kispert, Delon Wright
The deeper a fantasy basketball league, the harder it is to hit a winner with your last few picks. It is also harder to find decent help from the waiver wire if your late-round picks don't do you justice. If you picked up a few stinkers, don't lose hope just yet. I will try to […]
Onyeka Okongwu (SF/PF, ATL): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 16% of leagues ANALYSIS: The Hawks are currently the 10th seed in the East but are also tied for 8th and 9th with Brooklyn and Charlotte respectively. There's even a chance (albeit small) that Atlanta could rise as high as to reach the 7th seed if […]
Immanuel Quickley (PG, NYK): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 48% of leagues ANALYSIS: If we use common basketball sense, then the New York Knicks and Coach Thibs should try and see what the young guys such as Immanuel Quickley have in them and what they can provide the franchise with ROS, as the NYK are […]
Deni Avdija (SG/SF, WAS): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 37% of leagues ANALYSIS: One would reasonably think that a player seeing a playing-time boost such as that of Deni Avdija's this month would make said player drop his efficiency numbers. Well, not the case for the Wiz Wing by the looks of it. Avdija has […]
Nicolas Claxton (PF/C, BRK): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 24% of leagues ANALYSIS: The Nets can finally rest assured they'll make the play-in portion of the season. Not quite what you expected when the season got rolling back in October, but at least more than what the Lakers would have accomplished a week from now. […]
