ANALYSIS: Smith follows up a masterful performance against the Falcons with a surefire letdown game against the 0-4 Steelers. When you look past the upset win, you’ll see that the Jets didn’t ask much of Smith. He did throw for three TDs on 16-for-20, but only had 199 yards while the Jets ran the ball for most of the game. After a 47-yard rushing performance in Week One, he hasn’t topped 21 yards since, so don’t count on him to pad his stats in that category. Interceptions remain a worry and while he may be a popular pick, carefully monitor before jumping the bandwagon.
