BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 22% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Colorado Rockies outfielder Gerardo Parra has been hitless in four of his last six games, but his .341 batting average since the beginning of June is still attractive. Parra has knocked in 23 runs in this time span and is a .299 hitter this season. The starting left fielder for Colorado, Parra has eight extra-base hits since the beginning of June.
A lot of the issues with Parra's performance come from his .387 BABIP since the beginning of June, but Parra only has a 6.5% soft hit ball rate in that time period. Posting a 46.8% hard hit ball rate and 28.9% line drive rate, Parra's high batting average has come from productive play moreso than luck. His 26.3% fly ball rate has depressed his home runs, but he does have six doubles since the beginning of June.
While Parra's batting average has dipped from his .360+ average in June, Parra is a former .300 hitter (.309 last season) and is an impact player at the bottom of the Rockies lineup. Betting on the Rockies is a smart proposition and he is a good addition in deeper leagues.
