BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues

ANALYSIS: With no offseason additions at wide receiver and Randall Cobb out of town, the slot position was left open for Geronimo Allison to fill from day one. Indeed, only Davante Adams has been aligned more times at the slot than Allison, though Adams has played way more at wide positions than Allison so far. Provided there aren't as many great slot-cornerbacks as shutdown-corners running the sidelines, that favors Allison's upside.
After a rough start against the Bears (third-highest 32 snaps but no targets), Allison came back against a tough Vikings Defense and was able to score 12.5 fantasy points. He caught all four of his targets for 25 yards and scored a touchdown. He hit the ground again in Week 3 against the Broncos, though, laying an 0.9-fantasy points egg. But this past Thursday against the Eagles another rebounding performance saw him score a touchdown on three-of-four receptions for 52 yards. He was able to add seven extra yards rushing one time.
All in all, it can be said that Allison is playing to his WR3 role, no more, no less. His opportunities align with the current Packers pecking order in terms of the snaps he's playing, and he doesn't have competition at the position other than tight ends in the slot when Green Bay runs 2TE plays. Although Allison's start of the season hasn't been encouraging in terms of his floor, it must be noted that the Week 1 matchup wasn't good for any Packer, and the Week 3 horrid outing came against the fourth-best defense (Denver).
Looking at the small number of games Allison played last season before getting injured, things look more encouraging. Allison was able to play the first four games of the season and finished each with at least 12.4 fantasy points, always as a borderline low-end WR2. If that is his true average (which could easily be, as he already has two 12.5-plus performances this season), he's definitely a good bench option to start when good matchups appear on his schedule.
Barring his scaring zero-floor potential (he's shown him twice in 2019), Allison is a high-end WR3 with upside to turning into mid-WR2 occasionally. He shouldn't be a lock in your lineup, but an option to consider at Flex in particularly favorable weeks, even more with the "Bye" part of the schedule already rolling around the league.
