BALLER MOVE: Add in 10-Team PPR Leagues
OWNED IN: 46% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Aaron Rodgers has started off the 2018 season ranked eighth in the NFL with 314.4 passing yards-per-contest, and has already thrown ten touchdown passes through the first five games, while the Green Bay ground-attack has been good for just 101.2 rushing yards per game (19th in the NFL) with a lone TD. That means that there is wide-open opportunity in the Packer passing-game, and Geronimo Allison has already made the most of his. After totaling just 455 receiving yards and two scores in his first 25 games through two seasons with Green Bay, Allison has been a devastating weapon for Rodgers this year. He ranks second-best on the roster in total receiving yards (289) and receiving TDs (2), while he ranks third-best on the team in targets (29) and receptions (19). That's not all though, as Allison has encouragingly displayed some big-play potential by ranking first on the squad in yards-per-reception among receivers with more than five targets at 15.2, as well as holding the second-longest reception this year by a Packer at 64 yards.
An issue may be that Allison is mostly a middle-of-the-field option. So far this season he has caught just two passes on three targets for eight yards receiving when inside the red-zone, though he has found success between the opponent's 49-20 yard lines with four catches on nine targets for 69 yards and a touchdown (17.3 Y/R). He wasn't able to play in week five due to suffering a concussion, and it is true that his status for week six against San Francisco on Monday Night Football is in doubt. However, with Randall Cobb only having played in three games this year, Geronimo Allison has been Aaron Rodger's clear third-option behind Devante Adams and Jimmy Graham. With his demonstrated level of effectiveness and consistency so far as a threat from many distances, Allison is a dangerous option in ten-team PPR leagues if he can get past his concussion issues to take on the 49ers.
