ANALYSIS: Heading into the 2019 season, there was some debate on who would be the WR2 in Green Bay this year. We all know just how good Davante Adams is, and with the second wide receiver spot up for grabs, it’s between Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Geronimo Allison. After the Monday Night matchup with the Lions and Adams was on the sideline, we saw Allison and Valdes-Scantling both struggle to put up good fantasy numbers. Valdes-Scantling suffered an ankle injury, but returned to action while Allison took a big hit and did not return. He may miss a week or two if he ends up going into the concussion protocol.
While Adams continues to deal with a turf toe injury, that WR1 role will be available. Neither Valdes-Scantling or Allison have ran away with the job, but it’s worth looking at either of them even if Allison ends up missing time. Aaron Rodgers is still a great quarterback despite a slow start, and we all know how valuable the pass-catchers in that offense can be.
