Carlos Gomez will play through his intercostal injury again on Wednesday for Game 5 of the ALDS against the Kansas City Royals.
After not starting in Game 1, the Houston Astros outfielder has been able to play in the last three games. Gomez is 3-for-9 with 1 HR and 2 RBI so far this postseason. He will bat fifth in the Houston lineup.

The Astros failed to finish the series off on Monday when the Royals tallied off seven unanswered runs in the eighth and ninth inning after being down 6-2. Collin McHugh will try to advance the Astros to the ALCS with a victory on the mound while Johnny Cueto attempts to shut it down for the Royals.
