Earlier this week, the Indianapolis Colts re-signed Ahmad Bradshaw in an effort to add more running back depth. After breaking his leg last year, Bradshaw is now healthy and the Colts brought him back looking to restore some of that magic that he displayed last year.
Frank Gore's fantasy production is going to take a hit here, but just how much? Similar to last year, Bradshaw will be utilized in the passing game. But this shouldn't be a big issue for Gore's fantasy owners - through five games, he only has nine receptions. Week 4 was the only week he had more than two catches, and in Week 5 he had none.
Gore will continue to be used as the primary running back, and goal-line back as well. Bradshaw should help open up the offense more, which could actually increase Gore's value. There's no need for fantasy owners to be too concerned, at least not yet, as long as Gore can run effectively. As Bradshaw ramps up, he may start seeing more touches, but for now Gore should still be viewed as an RB2 for fantasy owners.
