Howie Kendrick (1B/2B/3B/OF, WSH) - Week 19 Waiver Wire Pickups

BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues

OWNED IN: 35% of leagues

ANALYSIS: For someone 35 years old (who saw his last season cut short because of an Achilles injury after playing just 40 games), what we're watching Howie Kendrick put together this season in limited playing time is quite impressive. He's hustling for plate appearances slotting at both the 1B and 2B fielding positions, let alone DHing.

I really don't know what to think about Kendrick's performances, and much less can I wrap my head around the fact that he's available in two-thirds of the leagues out there. People are crazy nowadays, honestly. Just take a look at his 2019 Statcast numbers: he currently ranks in the top 6% of the league in EV, and his "expected" stats read .310 xBA (top 2%), .552 xSLG (top 4%), and .396 xwOBA (top 3%). That is insane.

He has already mashed 12 HR, is hitting .316 BA and amassed 42+48 R+RBI. If all of this doesn't make you seriously think about adding him to your roster as soon as you can, I don't know what will do.
