BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team PPR Leagues
OWNED IN: 2% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Do the Oakland Raiders have a new top receiver?
Maybe! On Sunday, rookie wide receiver Hunter Renfrow was targeted a team-high seven times, pulling down six of those for 54 yards and a touchdown.
While Renfrow was only on the field for 54 percent of the team's offensive snaps, which trailed Zay Jones (92 percent!) and Tyrell Williams (82 percent), Renfrow clearly looked like the best wide receiver in Oakland. He continues to see his role expand and he offers a good safety valve for Derek Carr, who's been completing a lot of short passes this year. Carr is fourth in the NFL in true completion percentage, but just 21st in deep ball completion percentage and 21st in air yards.
That short passing game will be good for Renfrow, who plays out of the slot most of the time. He's the perfect receiver for 2019 Derek Carr, which makes him worth a roster spot in PPR leagues, where the smaller receiving yard totals won't hurt you as much since he should have a decent number of receptions.
