BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues

ANALYSIS: The Knicks defeated Washington last Friday and that meant they leapfrogged the Wiz in pursuit of the last play-in seed out of the East. That also meant that even on a short one-seed gap, the Knicks are still five games below Charlotte in the standings, so, yeah, you know what I'm saying. And that's precisely why the Knicks would do good to run with the youngins instead of playing veterans for ample runs. One of the young-and-developing kids, Immanuel Quickley, is getting his 26+ minutes a game these days so it's not that he can complain.
It's very frustrating to follow the Knicks and their stubborn lead-man in HC Thibs. One positive, though, is that he has seemingly softened his vet-heavy tendencies opening the doors for the future guys of the organization. IQ was phenomenal last year but came off the pine because Elfrid Payton was around. Of course, because Thibs, this season the same happened only with career-wide wing player Alec Burks manning the point. Sheesh. Anyway, IQ has played 26+ minutes in nine of the last 10 games the Knicks have played while averaging an even higher 28 MPG in that span. Not bad given the context.
Quickley has finally broken out of the shooting slump that killed half of his upside for months. He's shot 47% since the ASB on nearly 9 FGA a pop for an average of 14+ PPG in that span. He's also hitting reasonably good treys (1.8 3PG in the past 12 games) while not killing his percentage, so we gotta give this man some props. IQ should retain his role ROS, keep logging 25 MPG at least, and provide tons of points, great rebounding for a small guard (5.6 RPG in March), some diming (4.1 APG), a theft per game (he's stolen exactly one in each of the last 10 games without fail), and great shooting from the line and the field.

Fantasy Basketball Deeper-League Waiver Wire Adds for Week 24: Isaac Okoro, Kris Dunn, Josh Richardson, Corey Kispert, Delon Wright
The deeper a fantasy basketball league, the harder it is to hit a winner with your last few picks. It is also harder to find decent help from the waiver wire if your late-round picks don't do you justice. If you picked up a few stinkers, don't lose hope just yet. I will try to […]
Onyeka Okongwu (SF/PF, ATL): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 16% of leagues ANALYSIS: The Hawks are currently the 10th seed in the East but are also tied for 8th and 9th with Brooklyn and Charlotte respectively. There's even a chance (albeit small) that Atlanta could rise as high as to reach the 7th seed if […]
Immanuel Quickley (PG, NYK): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 48% of leagues ANALYSIS: If we use common basketball sense, then the New York Knicks and Coach Thibs should try and see what the young guys such as Immanuel Quickley have in them and what they can provide the franchise with ROS, as the NYK are […]
Deni Avdija (SG/SF, WAS): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 37% of leagues ANALYSIS: One would reasonably think that a player seeing a playing-time boost such as that of Deni Avdija's this month would make said player drop his efficiency numbers. Well, not the case for the Wiz Wing by the looks of it. Avdija has […]
Nicolas Claxton (PF/C, BRK): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 24% of leagues ANALYSIS: The Nets can finally rest assured they'll make the play-in portion of the season. Not quite what you expected when the season got rolling back in October, but at least more than what the Lakers would have accomplished a week from now. […]
