It was great site to see. After missing the Week 3 game against the Panthers, Drew Brees made his triumphant return in Week 4 versus the Dallas Cowboys. He completed 33-of-44 pass attempts, good for an 80.5% completion rate, to go along with 359 passing yards and two touchdowns. Not too shabby, and also good for 26.26 fantasy points (assuming six-point touchdowns).
While Brees clearly wasn't displaying full arm strength, he will still effective at moving the ball with shorter passes. The highlight of the game was an 80-yard touchdown pass to C.J. Spiller in overtime, which won the game for the Saints.
Brees can clearly produce for the Saints and fantasy owners even if he's not at full strength - but he should continue to get healthier over the next few weeks, and continue to improve his fantasy production. As long as Brees doesn't have any setbacks with his arm, fantasy owners should expect Brees to perform as a QB1 moving forward after a slow start to the season. He'll take on the suspect Eagles next week.
