ANALYSIS: Assuming no spike in the abilities of Tim Frazier or Ish Smith, Isaiah Canaan seems to is slotted into the starting point guard role forthe 76ers for the rest of the season. Brett Brown is going to rely on the former Murray State Racer to replace the stats that the team lost with Michael Carter-Williams going to Milwaukee at the trade deadline. Considering how well he preformed in his first game for Philly (14 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 block in almost 30 minutes), Canaan seems more than prepared for the job. In the nine games that he started for the Rockets, the point guard played very well (12.6 points, 2.7 triples, 2.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.2 steals) so their is no reason to believe he won't continue the play while with the 76ers. Throw in the fact that Canaan became a top marksmen for his new team upon entering the locker room and the future looks bright for this rookie.
