BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 20% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Many fantasy football owners drafted Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman with hopes of a resurgence. As the RB14 in PPR scoring leagues, Freeman has been picking things up as the season continues on. However, it’s worth noting that he’s seeing a career-worst 3.57 YPC, but the work in the passing game has helped keep his numbers up. Last week he caught three passes for 30 yards and two touchdowns. He has three total touchdowns this year and they’ve all come through the receiving game, with no rushing touchdowns to date.
Ito Smith on the other hand has slowly gotten a bit more involved this year, but has dealt with a concussion and missed some time. As he comes back fully healthy I expect this backfield to continue to be more of a split as the season goes on. Freeman definitely still has plenty of upside, but Smith is a nice running back to stash at the bottom of your rosters if you can afford the spot.
