BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
OWNED IN: 21% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: The post-Kerryon Johnson injury Lions haven't had the best of luck at running back. Johnson last played in Week 7; since then, Tra Carson, Ty Johnson, Paul Perkins, and J.D. McKissic have all seen snaps at running back for Detroit.
Carson played one game and ended up on the Injured Reserve with a hamstring injury. Johnson suffered a concussion this week and could miss this week's game against Dallas. That leaves McKissic and Perkins as the team's healthy backs.
Of the two, McKissic is the clear player to own in fantasy. Perkins has a track record of disappointing, while McKissic had 16 touches in Week 10 and can be involved in the run game and the passing game. Even though the Bears held him to 36 rushing and 19 receiving yards, McKissic's ability to be a factor in multiple facets of Detroit's offensive attacks makes him worth a roster spot in most leagues, especially in a backfield this wide open. A strong game against the Cowboys could hand the reins of this backfield to McKissic moving forward.
