ROSTERED: 11% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: The large difference in opportunities between Antonio Gibson (86 through Week 6) and J.D. McKissic (58) doesn't align with the amount of snaps played by each player so far: 199 McKissic, 174 Gibson. That is all you need to know to get an idea of who's who in Washington's offense, and who's the most-trusted tailback.
Even with Gibson averaging 12.3 PPR per game to McKissic's 8.2, Washington turned to the latter in its Week 6 game against the Giants, and McKissic delivered. This marked McKissic's first game above 11 PPR points (14.4) and he led all Washington's running backs in snap share (56%), opportunities (14), touches (14), yards from scrimmage (84), and fantasy points.
Peyton Barber, for some reason, carried the ball a season-high 17 times (Antonio Gibson's most attempts were 13 in Weeks 2 and 4). Even with that, McKissic rushed the rock 8 times for 41 yards on the ground and added 43 receiving yards on an impeccable 6-of-6 catching performance.
McKissic floor is low, and he will remain Washington's RB2 behind Antonio Gibson. That being said, the tailback is automatic at catching passes and is second in receptions (23) only to Terry McLaurin (36) among Washington's players.
Consider McKissic a great addition in any deeper league, a weekly RB3/FLEX, and a running back with upside to entering the RB2 realm if all things go his way.
