BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 29% of leagues
ANALYSIS: The Mariners can be easy to gloss over, but they found a new leadoff hitter and fantasy managers need to take note of what J.P. Crawford has done to start the season. The 25-year-old shortstop is off to a sizzling start with 13 runs scored and three stolen bases through 16 games this season. Crawford has been an on-base machine, sporting a .403 on-base percentage thanks to elite plate discipline as he has more walks than strikeouts. As a result, Crawford has led off for Seattle every game since July 29 and does not appear to be in danger of losing that role.
He won't contribute in the power department with a sub-.400 slugging percentage, but as long as he is in the leadoff spot he will continue to get on base a ton thanks to a double-digit career walk rate. Crawford is a good pick-up for roto league managers that need help in runs or steals, but he is close to must-own in points leagues thanks to his on-base abilities.
