ANALYSIS: A popular sleeper heading into 2016, Realmuto disappointed out of the gate. Even yours truly lost patience with him. He's been on fire over the last week or so, riding an eight game hitting streak. He has two homers and five RBI over that span, and is even batting leadoff from time to time now. The loss of Dee Gordon resulted in Mattingly getting creative.
Should Realmuto stick at the top of the lineup, his value would get boosted in terms of SB and runs scored. His RBI opportunities would decrease, but you were never really counting on much production from Realmuto in that regard. Even if Realmuto doesn't keep the leadoff job, he has he potential to be one of the top-10 catchers at the end of the season. A 10/10 season from a backstop is worth a lot in fantasy baseball.
