BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 20% of leagues
ANALYSIS: There is no getting around it. Jackie Bradley Jr. was an unmitigated disaster in April after coming into the season with an NFBC ADP of around pick #212 - right in the mix with Max Kepler, Franmil Reyes, and Ketel Marte.
Bradley's April numbers in 99 PAs? Zero HR, five R, five RBI, two SB with a triple slash of .148/.224/.182, .034 ISO, and a 7 wRC+.
Unmitigated. Disaster. Hence, his current situation, where he and his .406 OPS in April are available in 80% of leagues.
But as often happens in fantasy baseball, April disasters are dropped and forgotten; but it is the wise who remember to keep an eye on these forgotten assets, as to pounce them when they begin performing as they were drafted to. Which is exactly what Bradley has done in May, and why he now deserves reconsideration after his April debacle.
In 92 PAs in May, Bradley has produced: four HR, 16 R, nine RBI, zero SB with a triple slash of .347/.363/.481, .234 ISO, and a 123 wRC+.
Still not eye-popping numbers, but when the OPS doubles from .406 to .844, a better month is being had. Bradley is now producing about how he was drafted - as a fourth or fifth OF who won't hurt any category too much, with a little power and a little speed, and who can get hot on occasion hitting at the bottom of a powerful Boston lineup. Grab Bradley now before all those who put jettisoned his April dumpster fire, start circling back around.
